Points in the bank…..that’s what counts of you want to be up there.

the players are definitely battling for each other like mad--Parkes has been immense this season--and was happy for him to get a booking for sticking it to that wide player of theirs who'd been dishing it out to Stephenson all game

The most pleasing stat, apart from the unbeaten start, is the fact that we have to yet to concede a goal. this manager is doing something very right.

Who cares how hideous it was? Three beautiful points are all that matters.

Another nail biter but we cannot have everything.

The points are what it's all about so great result even if it was not a pretty sight. Roll on Saturday.

Mind you that local commentary duo were the world’s greatest optimists….I love it when they describe the forth substitute as real threat, if so, why wasn’t he on from the start…who writes their scripts.

Yes they had that late double chance and we rode our luck with that attack but we are defending to a man in a way I have not seen at Pools ( full team efforts) no goals against and we have Mancini improving Sloggett to come back Waterfall to return plus Doddsy and the bulldozer Madine to start playing. Well done to everyone connected to the club for giving us a new belief and new start including Raj. Yes we need to play more football but when everyone is fit it will come I am sure. In the meantime we have a team doing superb with 7 from 9 points that possibly would have been 9 if not for the sending off. The momentum is building and all players in the 11 now will not want to give up that shirt so all fantastic. UTP

Is it just me but I didn't see it as nail biting at all I think defensively we've been very solid in all 3 games. It's not like we've been backs to the wall although they did hit the woodwork twice late on. Dixon must have had the easiest 3 games if his career.

I agree but will say Dixon is doing what a decent keeper should do catch the ball and he has done it well.

Suddenly I’m not bothered when teams attack us, you know now that we’re organised.

I particularly enjoyed one of their commentators attempts at Mani D’s surname, had me chuckling all night :-D

Spot on and nice to see you coming around a little. Think about our top players who didn't play for various reasons and look at the big picture because it looks promising

we are doing a lot better this year of getting players round them when they get in the box--very few men being lost or being left free (that long throw at the end aside)

I keep saying it but we couldn't have written an easier set of fixtures for ourselves in August so we have to make hay this month and get some momentum

Good to see Chris Wreh come on and do nowt. Would have been typical Hartlepool if he'd poked one in.

Mind you, I feel lucky I saw anything with the shocking National League TV picture quality and Tamworth's excuse for floodlights. At the start of the second half they were only lighting the corner flags till someone put a few more coins in the meter

You do keep saying it - but Yeovil have won twice since we beat them and are only a point behind us. Wealdstone are struggling so let's see if they are a pushover on Saturday.

The next 5 or 6 games look really decent to be fair starting with Wealdstone. Like you have said its very important we take a big number of points early in the season to take advantage of it.

there is more chance of being beaten up in the toilets at a bingo hall than chris wreh doing anything as we saw last season ourselves. the commentator was like everything about tamworth, second rate from the league below but will battle through for safety at the end with the single attacking threat of a long throw in.

I just had a look at the highlights and it's Wreh (no.12) who hits the bar and the post from point blank range

I thought at one point the flood lights had gone out - worst thing about this league when tin pot clubs like this come up we have to make do with their shite little grounds - so glad we took all 3 points !

no way was that Wreh hahaa jesus that would of been an absolute stinker if he scored

Tactics spot on by DS, make them run around for over an hour and then bring on Mancini with his technical ability and guile.
3 terrific away performances (forced into away tactics after the sending off). Hardly any clear cut chances created against us and looking to nick a goal or 2.
Hopefully see a proper home performance on Saturday and a bit easier watch.

I think we need an early goal and then hopefully see a different sort of performance. Its a great start but i think we would all feel a bit more comfortable if we backed it up with a decent performance now.

Don’t go praising Dixon up too much he is on the transfer list, Pools are open to offers for him, lose him and what are we left with ?

It was the club that put Dixon and Onariase on the list, based on last season's performances. They didn't ask to leave. Sarll always says he selects on merit not reputation. There's no way Dixon would be allowed to leave unless there was a replacement already lined up, and Manny O certainly isn't out in the cold either.

seen it time and time again when a team at the bottom come the vic and stick 2 past us - there is no guarantees in this league this early on either ! im sure though our momentum and hopefullyt returning players give us that extra bit - Wealdstone will not be no where near as good as Southend so im guessing we score goals and get the win ! An early goal would be nice but we have to make sure we press on for more and dont park the bus.

If you or anyone wants to see how Wealdstone play, Go to national league tv and sign up.
You can then watch the games, Including ours the day after the fixture has been played.

We can get a heads up about the oppo, That way.
