Rumours saying they have changed the 10 year minimum lease to 5 years for teams to get promotion. But after being promoted they have one season to get a 10 yr lease in place. So basically given teams 1 year to get things sorted after promotion. What if the new club fails to get a 10 yr lease after one season

are they just going to throw them out

It sounds desparate to me by the EFL. If its true Heed could be promoted this season afterall because they have a lease until 2029.

Now call me a cynic, but is it a partial filter to favour the bigger more settled clubs coming back up.

Well 1 thing i know for certain they are not doing it for Gateshead and the like.

That's probably true but if this is to happen they massively benefit because promotion is then avaliable to them this season.
