What is going on?

Less weight in the packet, each biscuit is thinner, and they don't taste proper.

Is nothing sacred anymore?

Oh, and they are expensive to boot....

Not only smaller but changed recipes too, probably more to cut manufacturing costs than to improve nations health though.

You hear about "Fat Tax" and "Sugar Tax" but surely "Shrinkflation" is already applying a tax on most "bad for you" things we buy, just the money is going to big companies rather than the exchequer.

Trouble is this ‘tax’ goes in company’s bank account not the Governments…Kerching, trebles all round!

Over the years it’s been common practice for manufacturers to reduce the size of there produce to try and keep prices competitive, years ago you would struggle to eat a full Mars bar or the equivalent like Sickers/Marathon now they are minute. Biggest rip off is crisps, the bag is pumped up with air but contains a minute amount of crisps.
