Down the Headland this morning with the Rat Pack and I saw two middle aged men riding their bikes decked out like plump Tout de France contestants in all that fancy dressing up gear….Now I’ve still got four bikes tucked away, but why do a lot of cyclists have to dress up nowadays…I don’t dress up like ‘The Stig’ to drive down to Screwfix….. sctatchinghead

agree. you can expect kids wanting to look the part but grown up men doing it seems a little sad. mind you cyclists are not the only ones as if you see walking groups who never go off pavements wearing hiking boots and those wool socks as well. i just wear old clothes for dog walking and trainers if its dry and when mine was younger i could be out for a couple of hours.

Many a time when im over Malton way and the riders are all out early on the sunday morning - there is a big group of them all in the same livery (its not club colours either) like you say they all have team Sky on and the other week it was all some yellow one with same coloured hats. weird
