Says Starmer, to move about the country to tackle unrest…he could call it ‘Starmer’s Squad’….or probably not with those initials. bbolt

All this unrest malarky, Some of the vids on twitter and people smashing their way into shops and looting them, Hardly a march about immigrants.
And other videos of Muslims, Marching down streets ARMED and not a copper in sight, Of course the media shows none/little of those.

A standing army to move about the country?
Surely a mobile army would be better suited?

There’s a video kicking about ,of a copper telling them to leave their weapons in the Mosque,so the police don’t have to get involved.

Surely if there are ‘weapons’ there, they should be seized by the police. sctatchinghead

Not really a surprise as two tier policing is now the norm and is one of the reasons for the current societal disorder.

Do you still not get it?

People “heard” that the guy who committed the murders in Southport was a Muslim asylum seeker and rioted. It was a lie.

People “heard” that a Muslim turned up to the first riot with a knife, believed it and attacked a mosque. It was a lie.

People “heard” that the guy who stabbed someone in Stirling was a Muslim. It was a lie.

You have now “heard” this, and immediately believe it and spread it because it aligns to your own prejudices. You assume that it’s not being covered in the media because they are “covering it up”. You don’t even appear to be questioning that it might be a lie. I have no idea if it is or not, but there is a pattern here.

People are being seriously played here and they either don’t realise it or they don’t care. Nearly 400 of them arrested so far.

Are you seriously arguing the whole country is in uproar because of the events in Southport? Clearly they were awful, tragic, shockin (insert your own adjective) but the reasons for the unrest are:
a) unfettered mass immigration including the apparant love shown to those who enter the country illegally. 90,000 given amnesty to cure the backlog so they'll have to be given somewhere to live, food, NHS care etc. We know nothing about these people but they are allowed into the country. 2) Working class people called "far right" by the Prime Minister who promises to protect the Mosques.
3) Two tier policing.

The violence cannot be condoned in any way but Starmer needs to listen to the legitimate grievances of the people of this country. Givingout loads of police powers is what a far right government would do. The protests are a visceral reaction from real normal decent people: not the Guardian reading, BBc loving middle class lefties who hate themselves and this country of whom Starmer is one. Leaders are supposed to lead: not cower behind a barricade of lies and police riot shields.

I'm sorry, but the people involved in all this, I can't call it a protest because it just isn't, are not normal decent people. It's utterly shameful what's going on, smashing up communities isn't normal or decent. I had to go back through Murray Street on Thursday morning with work and then I saw normal decent people who had got together to clear up the mess caused by the utter biffs the night before.

I think I made it clear that in my opinion violence and mindless vandalism is 100% wrong in every possible regard. Obviously, whenever you have a mass protest there will be an unpleasant lunatic fringe who just want to rampage and loot. They deserve long prison sentences. The behaviour of these cretins is in danger of getting in the way of the core message.

Yes, but it wasn't a lunatic fringe in Hartlepool on Wednesday night, it was a mob smashing stuff up, there wasn't peaceful people there. I saw it, I watched it. I was in the middle of it, it was just shameful.

All this 'unfettered immigration' happened under the last government, so why protest now? Labour have been in power for a month, hardly enough time to judge them on how they will stop the boats. Some folk even gave Hartley longer before deciding he was not up to the job.

I wasnt there. If it is as you describe, the lot of them want locking up. However, it does not detract from the main issue of mass unchecked immigration and two tier policing being imposed on the people of the UK.

Clearly the Tories were shockingly poor but at least they sounded as though they wanted to do something about it: The Rwanda plan and the Tory British Nationality Act. In their short time in government Labour have scrapped the both. They have declared an amnesty for 90,000 asylum seekers in order to clear the backlog. So they'll all be taking up permanent residence in the UK even though they entered the country illegally. As the prisons are full Labour will be releasing criminals who have served on 40% of their sentences. Foreign criminals released under the 40% measure will not be deported. Starmer has decided the white working classes are all "Far Right".

All in all, Labour have not done all that well. The equivalent to that 4-0 hammering at Walsall in the opening game of season in Hartleys first game in the FL. As we all recall the season ended in relegation. Will Starmer do a better job than Hartley?

The Rwanda plan was hardly ideal it would have cost the British tax payer a fortune, they were going to get upwards of 30k per refugee they processed for us.

We need to stop them arriving here in such numbers in the first place as unfortunately by international law you have to provide refuge to asylum seekers if they are adjudged to be genuine ( Rwanda was just outsourcing this). They should be being processed where they first enter the EU, we have less control of this since Brexit (though didn't seem to have much control beforehand in reality).

Where does it say that they will clear the backlog by giving an amnesty to all asylum seekers? James Cleverley said it because he is one of the people trying to gaslight the xenophobic arm of the Conservative Party into voting him is as leader. All processing of claims were stopped by the Conservatives while they were spending hundreds of millions of pounds of our money attempting to get the Rwanda nonsense off the ground. Starmer has said he will be restarting the processing of the claims, historically this has led to around 63% of the claims being accepted, and only once they have looked into their situation and background enough to be confident in their decision.

It’s the far right who are being called the far right. Anyone who is protesting peacefully saying that we should make sure that we have adequate controls in place to make the correct decision on asylum claims isn’t being called far right. People who are throwing bricks at mosques, burning hotels where they think asylum seekers are staying, punching people in the street because they have brown skin, people going round with Nazi tattoos and giving Nazi salutes, talking about an “invasion”, they are the ones being called far right. These are not peaceful protests stating legitimate concerns. These are riots orchestrated by far right forces who play into peoples prejudices and encourage them to cause anarchy.
Ozzy Saltburn wrote:
3) Two tier policing.

This is another term that has been invented to try and turn people against the police and foreigners. They claim that the police turned a blind eye to the BLM protests in 2020, but are treating these riots differently. The 2020 BLM protests were largely peaceful. There was graffiti and some statues were damaged, and there were some clashes between police and demonstrators at some flashpoints, resulting in multiple arrests. But the protests were mostly peaceful organised rallies, having speakers outlining their objections and what they want to change. These current riots are full of people turning up specifically to cause damage, wanting to hurt people, looting shops, fighting with police, burning cars, burning hotels, burning libraries, stopping cars to find out if there is someone inside with brown skin so that they can attack the car. None of these riots are people expressing legitimate concerns, they are about hatred of people of a different colour, and using them as an excuse to break the law.

If you have concerns that increase in migration is causing an increase in crime, you have every right to hold that opinion, and voice that opinion in a peaceful way. You’d be wrong statistically, total crime has dropped by 20% since 2017 while immigration has increased over that same period.

Not only was this the case, if the Asylum seeker was deemed to be valid, and was granted asylum, then they would stay in Rwanda, if they were denied asylum, they would be sent back to their home country. Not only would we have to pay hundreds of millions of pounds for the scheme, we would also be obliged to accept an undeclared number of Rwandans into the UK in return. You will notice that the Conservative politicians have been very quiet about that part…

The idea was that Rwanda would be a detterent so after some had been sent there the "asylum seekers" would go elsewhere in order to avopid any risk of being sent to Rwanda. Quite a simple idea not without its faults but at least it was an attempt at doing something. Labour are doing absolutely feck all and the numbers on the boats are growing because they know the Labour government will welcome them.

Asylum Amnesties. The current backlog is around 150,000. If 63% of them are waved through that seems like approx 95,500 will be living in the UK.
at tax payers expense. 63% acceptance rate is the highest in Europe because we are trying to clear the backlog in the face of endless legal appeals that go on for years. This high acceptance rate is a huge pull factor.

Working Class people called Far Right: The protests have been disorderly but do you really think the thugs who cause this violence and destruction have a sound grasp of political discourse and have signed up to some sort of goose stepping sieg heiling sinister movement? They are angry at what are perceived as some awful injustices. Do you think a Prime minster should be considering why all these people are angry rather than threatening them and name calling. Funny how when the police ran away from the Leeds thugs and vandals Starmer and Cooper were far lass vitriolic. Funny that.

Two Tier policing definitely exists. The above Leeds example is recent. Do you recall Pro Hamas supporters projecting "From The River To Sea" on The Houses of Parliament? Nothing happened to them. Manchester airport issue: No one has been charged but they are throwing that copper under a bus.

Crime Rate and migrants: Guess what the Home Office dont break down crime statistics into ethnicity. I wonder why? There iis a lot of anecdotal evidence which of course you would deny.

I dont get this obsession with writing off legitimate concern as "far right". I dont get why these middle class lefties want to sell this country and its people down the river of diversity when diversity obviously does not work and is fuelling massive resentment which is currentkly boiling over. British culture and the characters of entire cvommunitiesd being wrecked on the alter of diversity and no one is allowed to complain because they will be compared to those who exterminated 6 million jews.

One nasty little fact has been conveniently overlooked, if people had organised peaceful demonstrations with a justifiable grievance, even handed in petitions and followed the etiquette, this discussion would not be taking place, because a compliant protest is an ignored protest.
Regrettable though it is, it’s got everyone on here focusing their minds.
Starmer is making the mistake of instead of trying to bring people together, has chosen to play the hard man, a role that ill becomes him and is now sounding more vengeful than reconciliatory….rather like his Home Secretary who appears looking furious every time she appears.
It’s time for some calm .
Talk of all night courts and the full force of the law, should be dumped and the law allowed to reach it’s own cold, logical conclusion and leave punishment to those we appoint to carry out due process.

The Muslims n Palestinians were out in force in Birmingham last night tooled up.
Plenty of anti social behaviour. Cars n a pub smashed up.
How many arrests were made?
Zero
Talk about double standard Policing.
This certainly adds fuel to the fire.

Our England the most divided n fcuked up it's ever been.
And whats that new word that makes this acceptable.
Diversity.

Hearing Channel 4 reporter in trouble for reporting on Asians attacking whites in the Boro.

And what a bad time for the football season to start.
Divided opinions on the way.
Probably be anutha batch ov Covid on its way.

Ain't life great.!!!

Crime has reduced since 2017, how naive, that is because the way they record crime has changed to make things look better. It's simply down to the fact that many low level crimes are no longer recorded.

The problem with the whole detterant theory is that if it works Rwanda would have no reason to keep our arrangement. The money they are receiving would dry up.

Plus who's to say regular Rwandans don't take kindly to tens of thousands immigrants turning up on their doorstep and cause similar unrest to here.

Either way if they decide to no longer be part of the arrangement we are back to square one. Far better to stop the boats arriving in the first place or rewrite the international asylum laws (asylum should not be for indefinite problems but temporary situations, which would allow them to return home once resolved IMO)

It's really too early to say that the number of boats are increasing under labour. It's just as likely that they have been waiting for the current warm weather to make the crossing.

Musk n Starmer exchanging different opinions on SM regarding predictions of a civil war on its way in England by Musk.

Think they need to learn a bit of Bunker Etiquette.

same as riots and looting which never made any black lives matter. as for the muslim defence league you need to search to find anything about them or their recent activities. two wrongs never make a right but we unfortunetly have to nail our personal colours on somebodies mast.

The behaviour of these cretins is in danger of getting in the way of the core message.
actually they are doing more harm to a legitimate cause than the msm could ever do. that on top of the miss information that bobby stated is making it harder after every protest for them getting their message across.

if anyone believes that with the new laws brought in since then must be living in a cave. you can break the law on all the old things plus get a record now by writing hurty words on the internet or in an email.

We need to stop them arriving here in such numbers in the first place as unfortunately by international law you have to provide refuge to asylum seekers if they are adjudged to be genuine ( Rwanda was just outsourcing this). They should be being processed where they first enter the EU, we have less control of this since Brexit (though didn't seem to have much control beforehand in reality).

once they have arrived into europe there is very little then that can be done as all countries are tied by international law that countries uphold to the letter. if it was europeans going in the opposite direction i doubt these countries would be accomodating as the europeans have been or upholding international law if it suited that country.

Has any one else noticed that multiple online news sites have simultaneously started a "pay to reject" cookies policy. I don't want their targeted cookies and I aint paying to keep my computer clean so that's it for me.
