He along with hundreds of postmasters are still awaiting compensation Some are accepting 60% payouts just to get their lifes back on track. I have nothing but 100% administration for what Alan achieved against almost impossible odds. However I find it strange why Alan would accept the knighthood from the Crown Surely if he give it back in protest that would light up the whole thing again giving them all a much better chance of payouts Otherwise I can see more and more of those people dying and never getting the compensation awarded and the government simply moving on.

He previously declined an Honour when it was all still up in the air. He's accepted this one after their fight was more in the public eye.
Bravo to him I say and we'll deserved. Even though I'm dead against the Honours system...people like him 100% deserved to be recognised.

100% agree Dustin on every word. I just feel it would help to create the huge publicity thats needed again and remind the public its still not resolved. It would help everyone involved if he even offered to give the thing back. I believe he did say he would give it back in a jiffy if it got the compensation paid out to all the people. Its a powerful weapon if used by him Lets be honest they wouldn't dare take it off him either way so he might aswell try to recycle the problem

I think honours should be restricted to people who give dedicated service to the community not people like sportsmen who get payed a salary.
There are so many unsung dedicated people who freely give up their time to benefit others.
They are the true candidated for honours if we have to have them.
We all know people like this and I never cease to marvel at the lengths they are prepared to go to.

Exactly. Why should celebrities and sportspeople who earn huge money for doing a 'job' that most of us would love to do be the vast majority who get honoured?
The day before Beckham gets his is the day that the Honours should be scrapped.
It should be for ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Discounting the pointless ‘celebrities’ who get their award for being ,..’celebrities’ …very few worthy winners are rewarded…even most of the small awards go to people proposed by people with influence.
I’ll never get an award, why should I, do I care, no.
I don’t need someone else to massage my ego, I really don’t care and as long as you know you’ve done your best in life even if it wasn’t out fantastic, that’s all that matters in the end.
Long as your conscience is clear, you can be pleased with that.
