Slog got a ankle injury and came off first half. He hobbled to the changing room with a ice pack on his ankle. Very much doubt we will see him within a month. He was just catching up with his fitness after being a couple of weeks short now this will knock him even further behind fitness wise. Shame because he looked really good from box to box.

Wonder if they'll ask the club physio to have a look at him or just rely on you telling them when he's fit enough to start training again?

Oh dear, sense of humour by-pass kicked in again? I'm nothing to do with the club for the umpteenth time.
And I'd hope one of the admins has a word with you about your offensive words - there's absolutely no need for it imo.

I can remember Keegan bringing a Newcastle team for a friendly and McGuckin put one of their players out for ages with Keegan saying it was an horrendous tackle and he'd never bring a team to Pools again for a friendly.
Also didn't Paddy McGloughlan put Molyneux out for ages in a friendly.

Leggie you know as well as anyone that nobody disallows opinions on here, the admins are very liberal imo in what they do allow and I welcome that. Personal abuse and aggressiveness being the only things I can remember being sanctioned. You are not a victim.

So is a humorous attempt at a sarcastic dig worthy of the offensive response? Strange values if so, but hey ho we're all different eh?

I think ya need some new thicker skin.
Stop playing the victim.
It's give n take on here.
Nothing personal as probably 90% of the time we don't know who we talking to.
But probably know each other in the real world before SM.

Hold on I'm getting stick for sarcasm but calling someone a cock is OK. I'm not playing the victim and my skin is thick enough to take whatever is thrown at me. I just think the board has a standard that should be adhered to otherwise where will we end up?

lots of this pre season is for precautions rather than anything sinister. some will have him returning home in a private ambulance and straight back into his iron lung.

I'm more concerned about Mancini telling the manager he did not want to play and he was OK about it.

Thought he got through the last outing without and injury concerns.
Or are we taking the Cotton Wool to extremes.
Maybe just a skillful part time pussy.!!

The offensive response was triggered by you, it was self inflicted.
People have different levels of tolerance.

So where does the line get drawn at offensive name calling Snowy? Do we let the board degenerate to the lowest levels or do we maintain standards?
Personally I've called probably everyone on here as bad but likely worse that Leggie did me, but I do that privately and don't allow myself to resort to offensiveness in my posts.
Am I hurt by the name calling, not at all but if the board is open to free for all I'll be giving as good as I get.
I appreciate you sticking up for your mate, but when you look at things dispassionatey you'll realise that there's only one post that's been out of order and that wasn't posted by me.

Slogs ankle was massive yesterday awful news, he will be 4/5 weeks recovering looking at it with experience in such matters.

Nicky sitting in the hole at Yeovil will be ok.

I'll answer that Mr PTID. There are two people who moderate this forum. Mr I, who is the forum's owner, and myself.

In reality the level that standards are set are mainly in the domain of the forum's membership and how that membership conduct themselves.
Is it our job to teach grown men how to behave? Do we need page after page of hard and fast rules and regulations and insist that they are carried out to the letter under pain of experiencing the fall of the big hammer on anybody who dares to step out of line?
People know when they are being disrespectful, or narking the pitch and, like any other forum, we have our share of that. How far do we let people go before drawing the line and where do we actually draw that line.
If people deliberately set out to nark the pitch, abuse fellow members, insult fellow members, gang up on fellow members, then the place will descend into mayhem, especially if, in turn, reasonable people start retaliating in the same manner.
The responsibility for harmony, togetherness, enjoyment, friendship and all other good things lies with each of us both individually and collectively under the common banner of Poolies.
Any movement away from those ideals can only be generated by our behaviour.
That is all we need to focus on.

I think you are overreacting to what I said.
A continual request for answers to something so inconsequential will elicit no response because you are to put it bluntly, making a mountain out of a mole hill.
If you want a hill to die on you’ve made a poor choice.

Absolute tripe Kev. Do you seriously think Sarll is a soft touch??
He's trying to get Pools to a level of fitness miles above the standard of recent seasons. A big chunk of the squad has picked up knocks or strains and missed friendlies so far - Charman, Darcy, Waterfall, Parkes, Mancini and Grey.
Might well be one ot two more this week. You chance to do a bit more name calling?

Interesting Mancini came to him and said he wasn’t fit based on post match interview, tho sarll said he appreciated the honesty

We absolutely need more bodies in or a decent start (which we should make based on the early oppo) will quickly turn to shit
Need

Back up striker
Back up left back
Another wide player
Another centre mid player
Starting keeper

Take away the trialists and the kids and we are on the bones of our arse already squad wise

So why don't you put a stop to all the racism, misogynistic, anti LGBT stuff etc etc on here?

I am sure Derwent will answer this question at some stage but for my part, I believe this forum allows free speech on a number of issues mainly but not exclusively related to Hartlepool United. I also would query who should be the judge of what is banter and what is "racist" (a seriously over-used term), misogynistic (is it mysogynistic to say you dont like womens football and object to it be forced on us?). How exactly should it be defined? Cant say I have seen any comment on here that could be construed as as anti LGBT but then who knows what your defintion of this would be. It is your right to be offended but it is not the job of the users of this board to avoid offending you. If you feel it is appropriate why not send Derwent or Mr I a message declaring your dissatisfaction? I am certain they will be helpful but they may not edit people's opinions unless they actually break the law. Just as a side issue, why do you never contribute to any discussion on football but confine your very few posts to sniping at others or the way this forum is conducted? I am offended by this but I guess I'll have get on with it.

Lets hope he is only out for a week or two, like i said a month ago fetherstone, who never really seems to pick up injuries will probobly once again become the mainstay of our team.

I'm more concerned about Mancini telling the manager he did not want to play and he was OK about it.

Thought he got through the last outing without and injury concerns.
Or are we taking the Cotton Wool to extremes.
Maybe just a skillful part time pussy.!!

Let’s
Getting your injuries crack in way to Early.
Glad ya ecstatic about them.
