The Chairman ruined our horrible neighbours and now he's doing the same to us. How low does it have to get before he realises he shouldn't be involved in football? If we survive this season then how do we go again? My question is not the recruitment, although that has been terrible but what is going on with the treatment room? Why are all these players injured or at best not fit? It speaks to me of a badly run enterprise. Can we not get a manager in who knows what he's doing ffs? Kevin Phillips left South Shields as his tactics and selection was shite, he is not a manager, never will be, his post match interviews are embarrassing, always excuses, the players are not playing for him, he has to go. Waterfall and Parkes must be thinking they need to get away. He has the worst record of recent managers which is saying something. It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't just walk now.

Raj won't pay anything for a decent manager. £2.50 won't get you anything good. We need to Boycott and make him sell the club.

Boycott?

No thanks - If there was buyers available they would have made themselves known, what's happened to the guy with 14million to burn? there's good people working at the club and last thing we need to do is threaten their employment with boycott's - By all means go ahead but i'll be there on a home game.

I thought he was half decent manager until last night and weekend before - he doesnt have a clue

cant be assed even analysing why last night didnt work the score tells you enough !

bringing Duffus on ... like really... for him to then go and score in the wrong goal. Its panto pools at its best.

Grey and Mani D will be sold off aswell - cant imagine any of the others wanting to stick around if an offer comes in too.

It has been apparent over the last few years that we concede goals near the end of the game to breakaways due to lack of pace in the team ,or is it lack of fitness. We do not sign mobile athletic players.

One other complaint is we are too far north to attract players. ! Gateshead,Barrow and Carlisle are further north . Discuss

The theme is we only get rid of managers, you need a total clear out, start afresh.
New manager, new backroom too.

Half decent because he won the first 2 games, it was a false dawn, Askey won his first few games then he was unlucky with injuries to Dodds and Mancini,

For me there seems to be a deep seated problem within the playing and coaching staff.
Players who were fit and playing well at the start of the season are now looking like knackered old has beens with no footballing ability or concept of teamwork whatsoever.

The problem is the players although not all them are not good enough, end of.

its hard to imagine any player who is burnt out at pools as nobody has played a full season of games like they did in the past.

We roughly at that stage now.
But the new set up needs backing.

Early days but surely we got to upspeedthe recruitment before the cream end up at other clubs.
I'm all for a smaller better squad after the last 2 years. But we need to act quickly.
What yas reckon!?

UTP.

Sadly I just don't see it happening. A lot depends on keeping Mani D and getting a good midfielder who can feed him. Cooke, with all his faults , was one who could thread a ball in. We need players with skill and pace and experience otherwise it's going to be a horrible season. I will not renew my ST this year though will still attend in the hope that we can have a clearout in the boardroom.

did have really good flashes in games and a couple of top performances that gave the impression of playing when he wanted to do. need players who only had a few bad games and the odd bad bits in games. more or less the opposite of what cooke was.

Cooke was top class with his vision and passing ability but not consistent by any stretch of the imagination.

I think the bulk of the squad (not all) should be in place by the end of June.
With 2-3 through July, May they be loans or full time.

Well we certainly can't afford him if it's true the salary budget is only 950k and therein lies our problem. I guess we just can't afford to get the best players for our level. My concern is we had some awful results at home to so called small clubs last year and some of that was due to no strength in depth. We intended having an even smaller squad this year with inexperienced youngsters invo!ved.

Regardless of what the budget is, both Charman and Hunter were offered deals by their previous clubs but chose to come to us. Maybe wanting to get back to the NE or maybe we offered more?

Really don,t think they would take a wage cut just to be nearer home, If coming to the end of their playing days, Then maybe.

Probably. But the players coming in have to be upgrades.
A trialist with a poor cv n back problem doesn't spell out promotion vibes.

Any player with a poor injury record is in my humble opinion a passenger we can’t afford, have we learnt nothing from the past few seasons.
That said, can we have a review of what these injuries are and his actual play.ing record.

finding players with no record of injuries will be harder than pools finding a keeper who,ll be signed by a premier league club in january and go on to play for england. it never seemed a problem till a few years back and we have heard names of injuries todays players get we once had never heard of.
