New owners turn up with a high profile to sell themselves to the fans and what they can offer.
All we hear is reports of anonymous consortiums in the shadows with no names…a bit like buying a car from an anonymous bloke in a car park at midnight that lost it’s number plates on the way to the rendezvous …you need some positive signs, not this constant background of vague possibilities.

If the interest was genuine, they'd have gone public stating their intentions. Also would allow them to be openly scrutinized by the fanbase, to question if said funds were actually the real deal.

Absolutely, openly portray yourself as the person who's passionate about the club, and willing to spend big bucks and the fans will be hooked and Raj might be swayed with public support behind them.
All the fly by night rumours and possibly activity just makes me nervous about the make up and motives - TMH and Coxhall spring to mind.

If they buy the place are the consortium gonna dress up in clown outfits so we never know who they are?

he,d deal with anybody as long as they had the money he wanted out of them. would we refuse to sell our house if we were moving miles away never to return to somebody who could even be a bad neighbour if we got our asking price.

Monkeybutt came to our house shortly before he died, the bloke was nuclear powered….unsinkable, great attitude to life.

A lovely bloke and 100% Poolie despite coming from the Midlands. Great bloke solid friend and massive wind up merchant who loved the bunker banter. Sadly missed both as a friend and a bunkerite but much more so by his wife and kids.

Thats what i mean. A football person, an actual fan and from the town said a lot of good things and part of a consortium of some others we don't know but also from the town with some money. The things were saying here actually did happen and were shut down by Raj and the truth shrouded by an NDA. Were never going to get anywhere with Raj and Raj is not going to sell unless its an amount he likes.

It would be lovely if someone from the town did step in, but life’s not like that, no one before Raj wanted to know, a collective deaf ear was turned, the only lifeboat on the water was Raj’s in pretty scary times, it’s a bit battered and leaks but it floats and all the alternatives are anonymous….I’d welcome getting rescued from Raj’s lifeboat, but till one shows it’s face we’re stuck where we are.

however bad raj is i,d guess now than southend fans wished they,d had him instead of the bloke who looks intent for them to go bust. there are always better out there and there are worse also. we,d all like better but not to jump out of the frying pan into the fire to get our wish.
