love all this froth around the so called improving the match day experiance. i,d guess for me and many others the only way this can be improved is by winning games with positive football on show which i guess is why we turn up in the first place. the last thing on my mind either at the vic or an away match is the quality of the ground or the catering as long i have a roof over my head if its pissing down. who has ever missed an away game because the pies at some ground get slated by fans who have been there before.

A PA that works is a minimum requirement at any ground. Bit rich of the club to be boasting that "initial improvements to the PA system in parts of the ground with the remainder to be completed this coming season" when the Mill House PA towards the Rink End was on the blink for the last 2 months of last season. Do the stepladders only come out in the summer then?

I could be wrong but just from a H&S point of view I thought a functioning PA was a legal requirements in stadiums?

I stopped buying programmes about 10 years ago as they were just full of adverts and crap. I remember going to Carlisle a few years back and their programme was £1-1-50 and it was like one from the older days. Smaller, had bits from management, chairman, captain, bit on the away side, stats and fixtures etc and that was about it. Pretty much what a programme needs to be if you ask me, just the basics. Go back to that and I'd start getting them again!.

How much are STs at Bradford city and their gates are higher than a lot in League one. Remember the parachute payment is halved this season so Raj has to get his money back somehow.

I would counter that with we’ve been paying for better players for a few years but still awaiting most of them.

Braintree charging £360 early, £400 after, Going FT i believe.

The offset to that is they only get around 500 - 600 gates.

Surely the bigger the gates the lower the ST price + Level of football.

If you apply that logic the top clubs would be sending the fans a cheque with their season ticket

The more tickets you sell the more money you make, reducing the price would cut income, a bit like shooting you self in the foot.

We Gunna find out next season.
Putting the price up won't guarantee more income if we have anutha bad season.
Could possibly lose 25000 + fans over the 23 games.

To sell more tickets to make more money we Gunna need a top 3 team all season.

Like I said we Gunna find out.
Sure you can agree on that!!!!!!

there are other ways the club can make extra revenue like attempting to increase more sponsorship. however that takes a bit more time and work unlike a statement saying prices are going up with some laughable reasons for doing so.

Spot on. The club have shown the same disdain for local companies as they have fans. Just look round the ground… where have the boards gone? Its just lazy.

The annual rate of inflation reached 11.1% in October 2022, a 41-year high, before subsequently easing. Recent data shows the annual inflation rate was 3.2% in March 2024.

If the Season Tickets had risen inline with inflation over the past couple of seasons they would have been a good deal more expensive. Other bills, utilities etc have to be paid not just salaries of the club staff, we all know how much utility bills have gone increased in the last couple of years.

we do and most are more careful in how they spend there money thn a few years back. these are bills we are forced to pay just to live. leisure activities are something you can do without even if your life is made even poorer by doing that. fans have had to make cuts in their lifestyle but wonder if all these new positions that have been created over the years in football could not have been cut instead of increased. are pools still being run as if they were still a league club and not what they are now a non league club. if the club thought they could get away with raising prices at the rate of inflation i,m sure they would have done and made it even worse.

So we now have some of the bigger crowds in the division, we have top 3 season ticket sales normally, we are one of the most expensive as well, so whats the excuse for next season? Altrincham run by americans signing all these great players?

You dont need to guess the same thing has been going on for the last few seasons do you think the man who makes out he wants to leave is now going to start bringing a load of quality signings in? Of course he isnt. Why should he? He wants out. He keeps telling us that.

So exactly what needs to be excused for next season?
What we need are effective players, they don't need to cost the earth to be that. And at the end of the day, the wastes of a wage that we've had most certainly won't have been scouted and signed by Raj himself - that's what he pays others to do.

Yes.
Must be a few decent Gateshead players who would love to sign for Pools if South Shields or Spennymoor don't get them before us.

you would think so unless they are happy with an easy life of just fullfilling league games and yet another wembley final is there interest. at least pools have a chance to play in a play off game more than sticking around with them is. possibly they are the most pointless club in the league to play or sign for until they sort the ground situation there.

Yeah when you start charging more than southern clubs you know your starying to push the boundaries a bit. You would think one of the most deprived areas in the country would slightly be reflected in prices but not up here. No one would mind if it was put into a decent team, but thats not happened.

when the prices are first announced most feel this way. however the extra cost will be forgotton if we have a decent team to watch and football fans are like boozers who will find money from somewhere for their pleasures. if things go the other way the cost of attending will be brought up on a regular basis. always wonder how clubs managed to actually survive back in the days of less season tickets were sold up to the numbers that are across the game now.

Of the NL season ticket prices announced so far we're still cheaper than Woking and Southend and on a par with most others.

Wokings season tickets are on sale at 249 they then go to 269 but 1 week before the season starts they go to 419. So to say their season tickets are more expensive are lets say not strictly correct. For the last 7 days they are thats for certain.

Yeah for one week before the season starts totally correct. Yet they can get season tickets for the next 2 and a half month at about 100 quid less. So if that makes woking season tickets more expensive so be it. I hazard a guess 99 percent of woking supporters will pay 100 less than pools despite being in one of the richest parts of the country.

I would’ve used Braintree as the example of an expensive season ticket… we are the 5th most expensive full price season ticket released so far (excluding any ‘padded seat’ options).
We are the second most expensive early bird on offer.
Southend haven’t announced theirs yet and last seasons are the same price as ours this season but their early bird was cheaper…

A standard full price ticket is more than ours - absolutely 100% correct.

would anybody take up a 10 match adult ticket for £190 or a over 60,s one for £145 where you get a seat but must be booked before they go on open sale. i,m sure that there are others in the same boat as me who can only attend a certain number of games for different reasons and see buying a season ticket pointless even if they had the money to do it. start say at the end of august for say a three week period.

Of the NL season ticket prices announced so far we're still cheaper than Woking and Southend and on a par with most others.

Have you checked out the SuperEarlyBird prices and the EarlyBird prices?

I stopped buying programmes about 10 years ago as they were just full of adverts and crap. I remember going to Carlisle a few years back and their programme was £1-1-50 and it was like one from the older days. Smaller, had bits from management, chairman, captain, bit on the away side, stats and fixtures etc and that was about it. Pretty much what a programme needs to be if you ask me, just the basics. Go back to that and I'd start getting them again!.

Yes I agree entirely.

Yes and compared to most our prices are whats the word a pisstake. Huddersfield today announced 250 for season tickets. Its ok pretending ours are in line for a week or two, but like 99 percent of fans they get them in the early bird.
