Signs on for another roller coaster campaign in the NL.

Sarrl clearly talked enough to persuade both our currently longest serving players into continuing so there must be something good happening we would hope behind the scenes (recruitment wise etc).

Just need to know more about Mancini now.

If Ferguson is the type of players Pools can afford to sign it’s going to another long season.

I honestly only know what ive already told folk on here ...

Kellerman - Ince - Curtis Edwards <<< all rumoured to be our first through the door 2 are out of contract and 1 is up for sale. All class players for me and would really improve us.

Ferguson i doubt comes cheap tbh - he may have been offered reduced terms who knows but hes as good as mid level LB for this league and im sure would of had other options open to him if he looked. Hes a local lad so playing for Pools is working from home for him so can see why he has signed on - just hope he thought it wise enough given the talk he may of had about the team he will be playing in next season.

Just need to sign 4 quality players on double the wages of 8 ineffective ones, that's what we need to do, sounds simple but you need to convince players that coming here is the right move for them, us, and will take their careers and the club forward.

Mancini is interesting he is under contract but every report I see suggests he may or may not be back, will be v disappointed if he doesn’t want to stay and give it another go assumimg he is injury free

Every ‘report’? Care to point us in the direction of a couple? Even one?

Think Fergies game picked up under KP, Still needs to work on preventing crosses though.

Try ‘Rumour’s r’ Us’…or even ‘I know a bloke… Who knows a bloke plc’.

All from the prolific pen of Robbie Stelling, who names Mancini in his potential starting 11 for next season but worries about his fitness - as we all do. The same starting 11 includes 3 players released by Woking. It’s guesswork, but he’s got to write something to fill the Fail’s back page.

Reminds me of the mythical female journalist in Private Eye…Polly Filla.

I'm pleased that Fergie's got a new contract. I'd have kept him against Cooke and Crawford any day. He didn't stand a cat in hells chance of shining last season yet still he gave 100% every game and rarely cocked up (Roberto Carlos would have looked isolated and crap at stopping crosses playing as a wing back with our midfield and tactics).

I reckon that if (and it's a big if) we get a midfield together with a bit of pace in it and an ability to tackle then Fergie will prove to be a very good signing (in fact I'd have been pissed off if we'd let him go).

Totally agree, Fergie will be be a great player in a decent team with better players around him.

Get Burton in at LB and move Fergie in the Left side of a midfield 3 or 4. He now for me is a much better wide outlet going forwards and will know when to come back and cover etc... think his reading of the game and fitness would be better utilised in that position albeit if we dont bring in a nice new look midfield or winger who plays there. He can cross and pass a ball which is 2/3 the way there in being a winger at this level.

Think Burton will figure this season, Has pace strength and can be physical.
If others could not manage him, Maybe these can.

finding the position on the pitch that suits him is the big requirement. even on his first team debut at altrincham he showed what he was capable of and where his weaknesses were. hope you are right as i feel he deserved more than running across the pitch and not even getting a place on the bench before a game. even someone as hard hearted as me felt a bit sorry for the lad.
