 Halifax fan here in peace.

As an Aussie who lives in Halifax, my parents are coming from Australia and we are staying over at the Premier Inn at the Marina for the game next Friday . My question is... the Parmo that great North East delicacy. I am wondering if I can get any recommendations on where I can find the best one around your great town. It can be takeaway or restaurant l, and preferably but not essential within walking distance of the Premier Inn. Thanks in Advance

Portofinos at the marina - parmo so huge it needs a plate to itself. That's close to ground but had a great parmo last week at white hart in Hart village just off a19 on way into town.. You might have to book at either. Mmmm. Getting hungry.

HANG ON A MINUTE .... Gents you clearly have never had a decent Parmo recently then.

You have to try it... its like going to thailand and not having a Pad Thai etc etc ...

you wont find bustling street vendors with deep fat fryers offering them in palm leaves but 100% make your way to church Street and go to a restaurant called Sambucca. Its a nice newly refurbed establishment with Pubs along there too. They do a cracking Parmo and other nice bits too.
its within walking distance from the Premier Inn too or a short taxi ride away !

failing that... head for the Marina and go to Portals Place they also do a nice bit of scran and have parmos on their menu too. Try a hot shot with Garlic.. must have Garlic sauce with the Parmo ! you wont be disappointed !

The food in the palm leaves has long gone, it’s all plastic and polystyrene nowadays and you you can pay at the cart using your phone.

Yes that would be outstaying your welcome so goodbye and enjoy your food. Good luck to The Shaymen but not against Pools. Safe journey up and back.

Wouldn't it be a nice gesture if the club could somehow get in touch with S.D.U. & offer a bit of hospitality? ( probably not a parmo, like ! )

So the rumours about a windowless cell underneath the Cyril Knowles Stand are true? Wondered what had happened to that lad who chucked a tennis ball on the pitch

You’ll be stopped and checked at the border…….it’s one thing getting in, it’s another getting back out. :law-police: :law-policeblue:
