If they beat Halifax this evening or draw they are promoted as champions with six games to spare. I was looking at the league table and can reveal it is now mathematically certain Pools cannot finish bottom. Other three relegation places still available.

Latest news is decidedly unpromising for them. Halifax 3-1 up. I guess the Spiretite players over confident.

0-1 up now 3-1 down plus one cleared off the line. The pitch is a major factor here Ozzy.

Very difficult for a footballing side to play on a farmers field. I don’t see a way back for Cheaterfield this time.

It's the worst pitch I have seen since the 70s

Agreed. I doubt there'll be many pitches like that in the FL although I recall Newport's was notorious the year we first got relegated to the NL. A few years ago now.

Pressure. stpid
Can Pools live up to the expectations ov success for next season.
I'd imagine the majority of our fan base are expecting the non takeover to result in a proper go at it given how well the crowds have stayed near the 4000 mark to watch mainly dross.

Good Friday I'm expecting the Halifax to apply more effort than our lot
Roll on August.
Looking forward to see this new Super team.
UTP.
Constructive Ambition eh
Pressure : Mainly self inflicted due to lack ov application.
sctatchinghead.

doubt there are as many areas who get the same amount of rain either. nearby bradford city looks like a pitch from the 70,s. if it isn,t raining there is always a damp feeling in the air and wellie boots are a must for us living around here.

Cannot believe football is allowed to be played on pitches as bad as those at Halifax and Bradford ! literally the rec is better !

Halifax are on the march with the wind in their sails - expect us to have another very tough game at home with them on Good Friday !

Chesterfield only need a point now anyways and it will stay like that as i dont think Barnet will catch them at all even if they did loose a few more. They play a struggling Borehamwood side on saturday. Can see it being retribution and a nice 4-0 to them to win the league with !

Wonder if they fancy lending us some players once the jobs done - surely their lot will have one eye on the beach after this now

Plus they have the added advantage of 4500 / 5500 crowds just like Gateshead Bromley Altrincham Solihull Aldershot & Barnet.

I wouldn't like to own the club next season if no real push for promotion happens.

Same Snowy - Plus in all Honesty i think they will do a Pools. Have a struggling 2 seasons in there and drop back down (with us hopefully passing them like a ship in the night on the way up when they do). There is some decent teams coming down also next season albeit probably loosing Stockport and Mansfield. But i think they will find it tough.
