Feature on the news this morning claiming Aviva has had 6,000 claims over the past five years for pet insurance.
So what's the problem sctatchinghead ..the premiums ain’t cheap.
Is 23 claims a week a massive amount?

Years ago a dog was a dog normally a mongrel that lived a healthy life on crap food then dropped down dead at 15 years old. We now indulge in the personification of our pets which are often over-bred with inbuilt problems.
Enter big business into the veterinary service and the cost goes through the roof.

At the end of the day a necessity which vets take advantage of, I imagine the vet asks you if you have insurance, if not different cost. No difference if you take a car to body shop, insurance or not, different cost.

having insurance is the first question you get asked. know for a fact small body shops ask you 3 questions. are you insured, do you want the jobdone without em being involved and is it for cash. if you get the insurance company involved then more than likely you have to take it to some big boy they tell you to go to and they,ll be ripped off like the vets rip em off also.

I had a dog for several years and as a chef could bring left over food waste home to feed him his favourites were fish, rice and vegetables and in the end was not that keen on meat judging by the fact he would always leave some un eaten.

i,d guess he was healthier and less overweight than so many now who get fed stuff from the long line of things available in the supermarket dog sections. cannot be a coincidence that the fit as a butchers dog types never eat that make of dog food or any other for that matter.

The big bones are a problem, bur patience is the order of day….I’d advice you friend to invest in a grinder with a cutting disc just in case the going gets tough.
The toilet can prove a touch problematic next day. sadx
