i am hoping the league is a bit less ridiculous now the likes of them, Wrexham, Notts County and Stockport are out of it....Chesterfield squad this year is top of league 2 quality---I suspect Oldham will be doing something similar next year if they dont go up through the playoffs

Soon turn that around by pissing the league.
Probably have ambitions to go to league one instead of 3rd bottom like a certain previous EFL club we all know about.

Think ffp might be a hurdle for them.
Wrexham have been largely unaffected due to the large sponsorship and TV revenues they're raising which mitigates the big salaries.

Its basically turning into a league where the team with the biggest purse strings wins.

They mostly do. There are those that buck the trend but if you look at the league tables, there will be a bloody good match to the amount each club spends.

you mean like every league and not just ours. the championship is the best example as promoted teams have to compete against those from the premier who get money for failure. thing is there is no way can the money teams get stopped as there is no wish to do it at the top.

i,d guess there are a few clubs about outside the premier league who lose a similar amount to get relegated.

So for their chart topping success comes a massive amount of debt - so that to me shows that you need roughly 2m+ to get out this league now, thats how silly it has become. Maybe different next season, all depending on Rochdales new owners splashing it Stockport or Wrexham style. York again will be interesting to see if they have a clear out and try again !

Then i suppose its just going to get worse when we eventually do get back in the football league as whenever that will be, id imagine it will just be a cluster of financially good teams who are just not that good enough to push on - fruited by a few whom have fallen from grace down the leagues every year but again still have the financial might to never succumb to NL pesh !

Mr Singh its over to you ! get us at least 6 very good signings and let super Kev do the rest !

Oldham do not have the money to buy players and are relying on getting cheap but good players. That came directly from the owner Frank Rothwell.

You’re right there Leggie, all the money went on everything but the team.
Getting the foundations right first.

Well at least that's most of the other clubs games in hand taken care of now and no great damage done.
We've had a decent break and should be well prepared for Maidenhead on Tuesday.

I still don’t feel optimistic, only 6 points from a relegation place.at least my bus pass will get to a few away games for free.

As things stand it looks like Yeovil are set to be promoted from NLS. If they have sorted themselves out they could be a force to be reckoned with next season.

We ride our luck again - how on earth has 2 lots of game fixtures in which we didnt play in both not hamper our league position when teams around us all had chance to do something. This league is so strange ! And... we have lost our last 2 aswell so hardly gained before hand either.

Yeovil deserve to be back here always thought of them as a decent side in a nice part of the country - if your a southern Poolie its a nice fixture to get back on the travel list. For Local Poolies not so much !
