There is only Rochdale & Southend, if they win and get 3 points can go above us. The remainder of those games, the teams are already above us or the others whatever their result cannot go above us.

Nowt Pools can do about games they're not involved in. They need to focus on winning their own games, then look at the table.

Won't affect Pools, as we will still have 47pts tonight

Steve Watson has really turned Darlo's fortunes around, they were well adrift of safety when he joined, currently leading Scunny 3-0 and out of the bottom four

I would love Darlow to survive then get promoted next season. I really have missed that game terribly over the years. I know lots of you don't give a flying fook but for me those games were shear class for atmosphere and adrenaline. Having said that even if they get promoted next season they will still be a league behind us.

My friend is a scunny fan so I went along with him tonight. Saw a lot of similarities between pools of recent times and scunny, lots of sideways passing with zero end product and all over at the back. Darlo were solid and good on the counter. The standard wasn't great overall but darlo thoroughly deserved the win. Ground is incredibly tinpot but I would enjoy having some rivalry back with them.

Never been a full shilling, like I ever gave a shite………, because too many people had the depressing low expectation that as long as we beat Darlo and got the bragging rights for the season we’d had a well brilliant season ….even if we finished in the bottom half of the table , while other teams saw the bigger picture and moved forward…..the games were worth six points..max return….yet to some they were the basis of a reason for living…sad in a way.
They were a novelty feature that was ‘nice’ to win but in the greater picture of moving up the league a complete irrelevance..
I used to laugh at people who missed the Derby games when we got promoted in the IOR years…… low expectation and a comfort zone personified.

would darlo be allowed promotion as if i remember right they were refused to take part in the play offs from their league a few seasons back because of their ground. have there been any ground improvements since then. looking at match highlights it just looks the same to me.

I must admit I admire Dario fans who still support their club in the way they keep digging into their pockets for a ‘boost the budget fund’ This season they gave the club £130K at the beginning of the season and recently another £30K to help get them out of the mire. Do you think Pools fans would do that? No they would just say Raj get your hand in your pocket.

Difference is Darlington don’t have an owner to fund them where as Pools have Raj Singh.

Pools have 2700 more fans than Darlo so beat the budget doesn't come into play.
Let's not go off reality n pretend every finance to Pools comes out of Sings Purse. sctatchinghead

This season could of been so much better for Pools - Yet again last night, an absolute mixed bag of results. Kiddy and Fylde on the absolute war path to maintain their NL status !

Gateshead and Oldham sitting in the promotion spots, albeit i think neither deserve to be either !

just shows how this league is there for the taking if the right team and mentality is there !

Notts county - Wrexham - Stockport - Sutton.... all figured their ways out by such means. Its about time we did so next season too.
Yes they had cash but the likes of Barrow and Grimsby didnt have such fortunes and still managed it. Hurts even more when you see the top 7 and how poorly supported they all are (bar Chesterfield and maybe Oldham).

You have that many more fans yet still need Singh to put even more money in. Take Singhs money away and what sort of team would you have? Probably a mid to high in the table NLN side.

Fancy that after Boro's win tonight both they and Sunderland are on 47 points, and of course so are Pools, wonder which of the 3 will finish with the most points this season?

So strange that Mowbray was sacked when he was getting a tune out of mostly kids and cheap buys. New guy didn't last 5 minutes and now looking for 3rd manager in 4 months or so.

Ambitious owner aka thinks he knows best…he should advertise for a ‘house trained manager open to advice and suggestions from above who knows their place’…simple.

so really unless you get into debt for ground improvements without a guarentee of promotion you are just fulfilling fixtures with the hope of seeing some good winning games, avoiding relegation and getting as high as possible in the league season after season.

It’s a square treadmill…it goes round the same but impractical to all intents and purposes.
