Just been reading his football stories and the racist stuff he put up with back in the early 90s. He said he loved playing for Pools and both the fans and the general public made him feel welcome. Problem was him and his wife lived in Billingham and the people used to shout racist shit at them both in the streets and when out shopping. You would have thought Pools could have given a white player that rented house and put Lenny into a town rented house. sctatchinghead

Lenny didn’t live in a rented house!

My mistake then I always thought players back then got rented houses paid for by the club. :roll:

Lennie came in to see me via my old boss Alan Bamford to get a mortgage arranged on that Billingham house.
