Can’t remember the last time Pools 2 really good home-grown prospects - Luke James and Brad Walker when they were both teenagers?

I think Joe and Louis both have the potential to go further than them in the game. Joe is really making his mark this season and showing the wisdom of his 3 year deal, and the sooner Pools get Stevo signed up on a long-term contract the better. If they carry on improving we’ll likely have to sell them at some point - but for proper money as they are Academy lads developed by the club.

Jack Baldwin was a Londoner who Mick Wadsworth signed from Faversham Town. He was not really a Poolie youngster.

Boyd and Istead ?

we have had some really good home grown players - Murphy and Simpson although both made the wrong choice in moving from us too quickly but both tipped to of gone onto bigger and better things !

anyways Grey is class - no doubt DC will be keeping an eye on him as im sure he mentioned him before in something after he left Pools.
Stephenson has the potential to be a Poolie great if he sticks around

Been impressed with Grey progress, his strength
Has improved over the season, too early to say on Stephenson

Lee and Miller must be the standout two if you are looking for a pair playing at same time

John Borthwick.
Got his chance at Pools after being a goal machine on the Rec!
The game at Rochdale in 86 were he scored and there was hell on after the game always stays in the mind about JB.

James Brown - a very promising career spoilt by injury

John McGovern, one hell of a career that started at Pools as a kid.

What about two of the most revered Poolies ever who played all their professional career with us, despite being continuously coveted by bigger clubs. Two of the club’s greatest servants. Kenny Johnson and Wattie Moore.
