On official site. Contract terminated by mutual consent. Very short statement not a lot of detail.

Long overdue and has been robbin a wage since he came in.
Fat, slow, unfit and unprofessional imo.
Unlike others back heeled going out on loan when told he would not be picked to play.
Has held out for a pay off of his contract which he has finally been granted.
A complete waste of money from beginning to end.
Goodbye and good riddance Fatty.

Had alot of hope when we managed to get hold of him- expected the same sort of difference Parkes has made when Dolan came on board. Just shows character and ability both where missing from him. Think he has taken a toll with injuries and has lost the love for it a bit. I know hes training to be a physio so probably more committed to that than out else.

see that Mazfari lad the GK has also been loaned out to Shildon too

Dont really know what went wrong as i was pleased when he signed.
Can see him at one of the local lower league clubs like Darlo.

Would make sense. Him and Spike will know each other from Boro days.

Dolan had a great first loan spell with us back when Colin Cooper was manager, but he’s been a terrible Keith Curle signing. And not the only one!

Disaster signing, unfortunately offered nothing to us in his spell here, as for that Crawley game...

Comical how many people were calling for him to get a run in the team when Pools were struggling under Askey, as if he was ever going to be the answer. Some new players were always the answer!

He's free agent but a) Would he play for us for the wages we can afford? b) We need a central midfielder more than we need another forward as we have Manni D, Josh Umerah, Joe Gray, Otis Khan, Brennan Dickenson, Courtney Senior, Courtney Duffus

Wickham is a quality striker and if we got him, is it because of the KP affect, as Wickham have played for Sunderland and Palace.. or is Singh now funding the club properly, knowing they's a consortium in the wings....

Dolan was struggling to get a game at Newport who weren’t doing much better than us at that time. I recall Newport fans saying that he had been excellent for their club, but his legs had gone. So, if he wasn’t good enough for Newport why was he considered to be good enough for Pools? A rank bad signing from day one.

Wickham a quality striker? His scoring record is poor never got to double figures for about 10yrs. Given a free transfer at end of last season and appears nobody has come in for him.

Whickham did well at Forest Green first half of last season then decided he was Championship level and left for Cardiff. Turns out he wasn’t and was pretty poor. Pissed off a lot of Cardiff fans by being seen out partying and doing laughing gas the evening after a heavy loss…

Mite as well have a look at him even if it's a deal for the next 2 months.
Surely at that stage of his career were beggers can't be choosers.

yes, and really summed up most of our signings last season. what always bothered me there were fans wanting him in the side as if he was the same player who was on loan to us years back but showed nothing since coming back. was being a local lad a bit of a get out of jail card for him as better players got more stick than he did. for me it was anybody but dolan but you had to be careful though if you said that at the vic.

For me when I wanted dolan to be given a chance it was not out of expectation of him being the player he once was, it was just that we needed a change in midfield and he was one of a limited number of options. If you recall we were going through an horrendous run of results yet the same non-existent midfield was picking itself game after game.
He's gone and we move on.

You could say the same about Dieseruvwe. His goal scoring record was shocking before he went to Halifax and us.

Umerah was a crap goal scoring record until that one season at Wealdstone and on season at us.

Wickham has scored goals in Premier League, Championship, League One & Two.

If hes fit and his attitude is right then he would be a class signing. Id imagine he will want to put himself in the shop window for at least another crack at maybe L1.

Listening to his interview it sounds like he will be staying at Spenny for the rest of his career. He will play and coach in a dual role. sctatchinghead

Think it was last season or season before when he scored a worldy from the half way line for Forest Green in the FAC. He has quality but can he keep fit and injury free. sctatchinghead

wickham is at the end of his career everybody wants a striker yet it would appear nobody has come in for him for nearly a year. Makes me suspicious.

Hi ZNB12. Comment about Dolan ever being here in the first place was meant to be humorous but failed (sorry). I was meaning his performances or lack of them since he came back to Pools.
