No score at half-time at Ebbsfleet and if you add those 45 minutes to the 90 against Hampton and Richmond plus the 45 minutes of second half at Fylde that makes 180 minutes Pools have played without letting in a goal. A positive of sorts but of course thats not to say we wont collapse in the next 45 minutes.

If there’s straws you have to grasp them….or give up.

Now its 225 minutes with no goals conceded. I suspect it has something to do with the arrival of a solid Centre Half called Tom Parkes.

That’s definitely the reason.

Biggest disappointment is that a blind man could see the type of player we needed in defence but, instead, Askey signed kids.

I've got on good authority that they kept on moving the goals, so that's the reason.

  :-D

A 1-0 win away is a far better straw. Half way to having sugar in their tea.

That particular straw would not have been grasped without the straw of the growing number of minutes without concedeing.

think every single bunkerite and people you spoke to at a match also said the same.

Maybe that’s all his budget stretched too, he had no choice after Hartley squandered thousands on signing players and ther3 was nothing left in the budget.

but where has the extra money come from though to pay his wages. hartley is the man still to blame for the position we are in and not curle or askey whose mistakes pale into ignificence after looking at his ones.

But, who recommended Hartley to Raj…because I don’t believe for one minute it was his choice alone.

you,d have found out bloody quickly if he had come off with us, or having to decide which one it was who was telling the truth as they,d be all jumping onto the bandwagon basking in success.

Neale Cooper was a gamble that paid off, no Managerial expedience in England, he got Ross County promoted twice but was sacked after 1 win in 11 games.
Hartley probably thought wrongly that he could recruit players from North of the Border, budget buys but as the saying goes penny wise pond foolish.

Die by the sword live by the sword.
This current chairman is the same as previous where at the end of the day they have the final say on managerial appointments.
Who was Vincent Barkers advisor. It's all his fault we are were we are. sctatchinghead

Think we need to kick the blame game into touch now. Boring as :angry-tappingfoot:

I think most of us have moved on from Hartley. There is only so far you can go on a downward spiral. Clean sheets create confidence . You got to start somewhere. Unlike some I did see an improvement. Agree with Lenny you got to get the most out of what you got. The defence was miles better. Yes the attack was piss poor but I really don’t care as long as the team works hard we can eke out some one nills until our strikers get back . New striker needs a bit of time to bed in. Let’s see where we are 5pm Saturday
