Hadn’t had a dog for a while and when we got Ratboy took some out with a company and due to his value in 2019 was charged £23 a month… this rose steadily till my renewal this morning and now it’s 3p short of £50 a month  I was also looking to insure our new arrival as well and was looking at £80+ for them a month   Never claimed a penny in just over 4 years. :angry-tappingfoot:

Cancelled it immediately and did some shopping around, as I now need to insure the two dogs….I got a virtually similar policy covering both dogs with a leading company for just £30…!
I’ve noticed with insurance that nowadays regular customers get shafted, loyalty is there to be abused..

the annoying thing is when you ring them up and tell em you have been quoted much less by another company they come back to you with a similar offer to that new one after a minute or so on hold. my answer is why didn,t you quote that in the first place as i have never put a claim in. think these companies rely on people being too lazy to change or have pots of money to waste.

This is the problem with a lot of insurance companies, the loyal customer gets ripped off. The other trick they seem to do is automatic renewal, more so on car insurance but something else to look out for.

Whether its car, house, home insurance I always check on these compare sites to see who is giving the best deal.

They all try it on with the long term customers. It's a total lack of loyalty and a massive pissss take. rakxe The longer you are with a insurance company and have no claims the lower your payments should be. banghead
