Just to annoy those good folk still working, it has been announced by that tw*t Chancellor Jeremy *unt that us old sods are to get an increase of 8.5% next April.

Most of us will unfortunately pay more tax but should give us just over £700 extra a year.

With all this extra money let's all band together and give Raj an offer he cannot refuse.

Pensioners have power and exercise their votes thats why we are getting it. All parties are scared of us.
It a shame the young dont vote in such numbers, but its their choice.

This is a pet question for me, why on earth do the most wealthy portion of society expect discounts on everything?

Must be an election on the horizon!

Quite ironic really when not that long ago ( just after the last election)- they were of the opinion that as they were going to die anyway - they'd let them by sending them back to COVID riddled care homes, no questions asked!

I don’t think it’s anything to shout about, the U.K. has one if not the lowest State Pension in Europe, I doubt any of pensioner could survive on the basic State Pension with out top ups, savings or a Private Pension.

thing is though how many pensioners survive on just the basic pension only. i get a top up, her in the kitchen has a decent private pension from rotary international. we are nowhere near the saga group but manage quite well. the ones we are in contact with live a similar lifestyle even if there money goes on different things to ours.
