That was cracking! On top of all the obvious good performances that people are mentioning - I thought Burton did well when he came on. looked solid at the back and a threat going forward.

That was brilliant. Must admit I was not a fan of Hastie but by hell that lad can play that's for sure. I hope he now goes from strength to strength and proves all his doubters wrong. The scream of pure frustration came out when he scored his goal which proves he does care and just wants to be loved by poolies. Lets hope we are starting this season now. Nice to see " The Machine Mancini " enjoying the victory celebrations. If we can put a few more wins on the board over next 6 weeks then we have a chance with Mancini back to push for the playoffs.

Great scenes. You think we won the cup final but that’s how good our fans are. No one better.

Think he would make a decent wingback myself.

It was really good however it always is at the away games and on the plus side to our shock we actually played some good football like we did at the start of the season.
Our midfield on Saturday was excellent in total control with Nicky just roaming and picking the passes with cook and wallace being the anchor and a big surprise with Hastie.
Make no mistake the defence tried to keep the clean sheet but it wasn't to be.
So all in all not what i expected going of recent performances.

Agree with you there, he has an engine, he’s enthusiastic and he’s not scared to take a chance.

I just keep replaying Hastie's goal in the close up sequence. He made the defender look like a dick and then placed his shot so perfectly, he even put a bit of spin on it so you can see it curves into the net. I know its only one goal but at Pools level it is rare to see such close camera work that enables you to fully appreciate the skill involved.

Know exactly what you mean. I felt it at Southend when the players came up to us at the end of the match. A kind of mutual joy you rarely experience in life and there was only 150 of us. The video gives a hint of what it must have been like on Sat and by heck it must have been something else. I dont know but I wonder if you are fan of a successful club, is it the same? As a Poolie we dont often get these experiences which makes them all the sweeter.
