Its that time of the year again. The cost of some of them can be from £30-£150 to make an earth shattering bang that scares the shit out of animals especially dogs. Whats the point of it ffs. If you want to hear a bang go to a war zone and see what its like.
"The" Asda do them that are silent but make bonny patterns in the sky.

Given the issues we have with antisocial behaviour/animal welfare etc etc etc they should have been banned years ago. Its a celebration of blowing up Parliament!!!!!! :angry-screaming:

Normally we take ratboy out in the car for a few hours…but been advised of some drops (the name escapes me) to basically sedate him…I’ll try them out on the wife first.

There was a display near us where one of the sets were silent and it was just as good as the others.

It was fun 50 years ago and we knew how to celebrate it recklessly and milk the occasion with our penny for the guys..but now it's so dull. :)

They’d called ‘Hoogivs-Affook’ droplets, one drop and you’re away with the Fairy’s.

Wouldn't object to fireworks if it was for one night only- but you get loads of fucking idiots setting them off all year round now and even in daylight.

I do think they should be banned for sale to the general public and be displays or licenced companies that provide them.

Also do A&E a massive favour not having to treat idiots and unfortunates for 3rd degree burns and sometimes worse.

Exactly, always start around early October round here (Leigh, Lancs). One of our Dogs shakes like buggery for about 20 minutes after he hears any. (The black one in my profile pic).

Know exactly what you mean, we drive up on the moors as if he’s in the house he regards them as intruders and every time one goes off he goes into ‘kill the burglar mode’ exhausting for us and him.
What really pisses me off is the size and sounds of some of these fireworks which must be illegal imports….next door to me he has a display and even his wife complains as his family don’t even come out to watch while he’s out by himself like a daft kid playing

and then we have not long to wait until new years eve. might be wrong but i,m sure a few years back there was talk about banning them apart from in organised events. funny we have health and safety running our lives but that seems to go out of the window if there is money to be made. they are not exactly 1d bangers for sale now.

I'm sure the Fire Service would also be happy not to be called to bonfires that have been set alight and then attacked by the "young people" who set it on fire.

The police protect themselves.
They should be allowed to protect themselves, Turn the hoses on them.

its been going on for a few years now round my area. can understand them having a go at the police but not ambulance crews or the fire brigade.
