It would appear that not everybody is.

Three games unbeaten, two home wins and an away draw, not conceeded a goal with eleven men on the pitch for three consecutive games yet some doddery old fools are still whinging that Wilson is the anti-Christ.

When I was a kid my favourite Pools player was Paul Staff, yet I don't think that Danny Wilson should be burned at the stake for not giving him a game last night for fks sake.

Mansfileld came to the Vic with a game plan last night as have the temas before them, to take a point. They played to a gameplan of specific man marking when not in posession and hope for a break. If done well it frustrates fans and players alike, but once the goal went in they had little left to them and it showed. Pools did OK, it was just a case of breaking down their spoiling tactics and not getting fooled by them as some appear to have been.

It was great Elv, bloomin' great.

I've even been a bit generous in my player ratings on our Player of the Year board (which seems to have been a little neglected of late!)

WHAT THE F*** DO SOME PEOPLE WANT? We won, it could have been better and it could have been worse, but give me three points and a reasonable perfromance and I'm happy. JOB DONE.

Yes last night was a great performance full of fast flowing football, one touch possession football at its best.

Why, were all just saying that with 20 minutes to go, it would be great performance even if we dont manage to notch.

Such was our dominance, and craft on the ball.

Yes this performance had it all.

You wouldn't even be happy if you had two cocks and a harem that were daft enough to find you attractive.

I have been coming around to the way of thinking that Wilson had to stop the losing mentality first. One defeat in six tells me he is already starting to do this. Pretty quickly from that we have produced two or three successive games of football where we have completely dominated the opposition. The goals are still not coming as they should (or not as early as we would have liked in last night's case) but I'm sure that as soon as one player sets an example in front of goal and displays a cool head (like Porter last night) then the rest will chip in - i.e. Sweeney, Brown, hopefully the likes of Gibb. Surely the possession football we played last night cannot be matched by many other sides in this division, including the likes of Lincoln and Wycombe. We know MK Dons can't , because we dominated against them on their own pitch. Also Swindon, although I think they must have improved on their display up here.

We actually played far better on Saturday at MK Dons. However, after the game it felt like we had lost and I was in a downer.

Last night we played quite well and won and my feelings after the game was bordeing on elation.

It just shows that results, not performances, are the priority.

Or that when the shits creeping up your neck, a two goal clear win against not the worst of opposition when you've only seen about six wins so far in 2006, is any reason for elation at all, right??

I bet if you were one of Caprice's triplets, you'd be the one who elected to be bottle fed. :-( :-(

The sharp bit on the end.

Look, we have to get used to the idea that we're shit again. We're one of the shittiest in a shitty division at the moment. The bright days are gone and the dark days are here, my sunny one shines so sincere.....hang on I digress.....we have no divine right to be playing any better than we are. We failed in the division above and everybody thought it was a momentary dip in form. No it wasn't we were shit. And until we aren't we are.

So if we can kick and scrap and bite and struggle to 85 points and we can go back to the nice place that'll do me. I dont want silky skills and passing flowing movement, I want points. I want out of Div 4. By any means at all and now we're three points nearer it. Matty or no Matty.

No we fooking don't!!!!

Matty needs games on the wing to perfect his craft. sending him away to learn in the reserves won't work. Give him a break. Who's a better left winger at the club?? Someone else has already said he's 90% good.

Why not play him the rest of the season, let the boo boys get on his back, fuck im off, and then watch as he really turns it on when playing for someone else? Isn't that how it usually works for us?

Robson doesn't seem to have enough brains most times to pick out the best option when he has possession. He has poor technique at passing the ball over short distances, never mind long. As for crossing and free kicks, there are dozens better players in the pub leagues!!! I don't see how he would ever become a very good player at another club when he can't do the basics to start with. He needs to go unless there is a very, very dramatic improvement from the lad, but I can't see it happening.
Otherwise we're starting to look good now on the whole

In the same way that Jermaine Easter or Steve Howard couldn't hit a barn door? I'm afraid that it's too early to say.

Not to sure about Easter egg, but to me always had the ability, just didnt play under the right managers, but he was a target for the boo boys, just like Baker, perhaps its just a Hartlepool thing?

PS

I dont think Robson will ever cut the mustard, he tries, but he's been a first teamer for three seasons now and cant even find the man 90% of the time
