Spot on. Amazing how often Pools have played teams who were on a poor run of form until Pools generosity helped them return to winning ways. Fully expect this to be the case on Weds.

A set piece - I've given up hope of scoring from a corner - we are more likely to get caught on a counter attack.

This one is near my work office... and I'm considering going. The ground is near the BBC studios where they record the Strictly dancing. On the Saturdays I've been, there are more people queing to see the dancing than at the football. On the downside, I've notyet seen us win there.

I'm fed up of the cr*p.
I expect that Mr Askey is even more fed up - and he needs a break.
And - and I never expected to say this as I'm no great fan oh him - I'm sure that the Chairman is heartily sick of paying to watch dross - sure he could maybe pay more, but he is all that we've got and he deserves an evening of winning football and less sh*t from we minions.

2-0 You will always get people who have different opinions but like you I have had my fair share of plastic fans over the years. I have 100% respect for all proper poolies regardless how long they have supported Pools because we are a dying bread and its not easy following a team that very rarely gives back any success. We have followed through thin & thinner with total love & dedication over decades of support & spent tens of thousands of pounds not counting the thousands of hours travelling the country and being away from our families. Me you Snowy Kev Darwent Mr I just to name a few who have spent a life time following Pools through mostly hard times of real doom n gloom. Things are different now it's a different world but I respect all our fans simply for keeping this dream alive.

Not ideal 5 hour coach journey, no overnight hotel then another 5 hours back so will be early morning before the players arrive back. Day of Thursday, training Friday another game Saturday, not much of a break.

More or less the same journeys as Woking n Dorking had to the Vic and our midweek game at Aldershot in 91 which we won 5 1.

We majority are all the same Poolies.
We just have different views and opinions which can come over different on social media. Ye its shit at times. Like ive said before if we we're all face to face exchanging views in the pub like years ago wr would all be good Poolie mateys.

Last night's results have put us in our true position in the league.

No I wouldn’t swop places with them, I can’t think of anything worse than playing for 90 minutes then being sat on a coach back to Hartlepool for 6 hours with my legs seizing up.

Seaman, Aghatise and Grey dropped - the only one who can count himself a bit hard done by is Joe Grey.

Umerah starts, Lacey back in and Featherstone goes straight into the side.

Seaman and Grey are on the bench. So is Dolan which is a bit of a shock after his inabilty to breathe on Saturday. Aghastie not in the squad. Lacey back in the side so it looks like Zak Johnson is at full back instead of Seaman.

This has to be the quietest game of football I’ve ever seen. It’s like grayfields enclosure on a quiet day.

Official twitter (or X)seems to imply Pools are having the better of things although Boreham had a goal disallowed.

They scored their disallowed goal from a set piece that we defended badly (as usual). It did look offside though.

Pools look the better team - but they’ve been threatening to catch us on the break.

Hope Lacey stays fit from now on as he looks very comfortable and steady away at this level. Finney on the other hand - doing his invisible man impression.

Their commentator is doing my head in with calling Josh 'Umerea' and Manny O 'Omerea' - he probably thinks we've got Diarrhea and Gonorrhea on the bench

What a difference Nicky is making the whole team are playing with confidence & determination and should be at least 2 up in my opinion. Up against the best goolie in this league who has pulled of two good saves and should probably be playing at least league 1 or possibly the championship. That assessment is based on his last 3/4 years not just tonight. Best proformance in a while but stil no goals that's the only worry apart from Nicky getting tired. I am confident that should we score 1st this time we will win.
