Could this be the way forward for some clubs ?
Or is it pie in the sky.
I,ve read a little bit and find it intriguing.

You end up with a club run by a committee, when things go wrong as they often do, the committee will be treat like an owner, without the perks.
Ok as a blueprint for a small club but can’t see it in professional football…all down to money….it always is.

There are plenty of clubs out there with owner-chairmen that are proper basket cases.

I was all ready to invest until I got down to point no.6 - Plenty of Haggis- NO thank you.
Almost as off putting as the promise of a Piper!

Sure Ebbsfleet have had a similar scheme in place for a few seasons now and haven't exactly pulled up any trees.

Ultimately you need someone in charge, who'll make some decisions and be accountable otherwise nothing gets done and you'll have too many chiefs and lots of warring factions.

Someone once said a camel was a horse deigned by a committee.
Too many people rowing in different directions.

Russia doesn't have that. That's going well.

I wouldn’t be too sure about that, the rowing, not the ‘war’.

Well yeah they might need those skills if their Black Sea fleet gets any more battered.

This takes me back.
In football terms, Russian warships look the part, very intimidating, they look like they’re up for it……appear to have a great attack, great defence, not a very creative midfield, but poor at training and motivation and prone to red cards …..and the owner hasn’t got a clue.
All fur coat and no knickers.

a lot depends on where you want your club to be. its fine if we want to be another workington but not if we wish for the club to push on. the present owner system is not ideal but neither are the alternatives. if you cannot beat em you have to joint em.

If it worked, every team would be run like this, they aren’t. Nice theory, but the big cruel world out there is for the predator owners,
