Arrives on season long loan, should be decent at this level although hasn't played a lot recently.

Steady signing that- never thought he played as many games as he should have last time round and was disappointed to see him leave. He's also worked with JA before and a lot more reliable than bringing Timi back from Bratfud. clappp

Let's hope we can maybe bring in another midfielder this side of the deadline too- sure JA will have a few rods in the fire

EFL transfer deadline at 11pm tonight-.
Does that not affect us, assuming we wanted to bring in players with some league pedigree?

Think that just applies to elf clubs bringing players in.

Hendrie got half a dozen league starts 2 years ago when Liddle was injured. It was just before Challinor jumped ship. In fact, he played in the 5-0 at Orient. Spike Lee didn't fancy him and let him leave at the end of January.

Steady player with plenty of experience, should do a good job for us. He's nowhere near as quick as Dan Dodds so Manny O's pace will be more important than ever.

Nobody played at Orient for us that day- they all stayed on the bus! We were absolutely fucking abysmal- easy to see why on reflection, with DC about to jump ship!

Decent Loanie Standard.
Get a better idea come 5:06pm or does he need time to gel.

Depends on the individual player.

Apparently he enjoyed his time here both times. He was injured the first time and went back and the second time he was dropped upon Lee’s arrival.

We all see things differently don't we, I thought he was steady away and decent at div 2 level, decent defender and not too shabby going forward in the few games he played for us. Thought he should've played more and I was disappointed when he left.

Hendrie liked by fans, But not by Lee.
Shifted 1 or 2 decent players did Lee.

Gav Hollohan- another he shifted on - that still baffles me now!
Not sure many saw that coming, or wanted him to leave?

That’s a good point…. what highly researched scientific mambo jumbo did Lee and Nelson do to assess players, toss a coin.? sctatchinghead

Sometimes it gets up a managers nose when a player is more popular with the fans than themselves.
Nobody put in a shift more than holohan, not the best player but you got what you saw.

Aye, work rate can compensate for talent, every team needs a worker in there.

I'd have Gav back now- a great player for us and scored some important goals for us. Always a threat when you least expected it- criminal he was allowed to go on a free to Grimsby

Hendrie had a good game and his experience showed through but we still need another experienced centre back.

Wouldn't have thought he only arrived yesterday, was talking and organising the defence too.

not knocking lee over the gav situation. he was used less and less under challinor and would have left even if he had stayed. just seemed to have lost something with the club before lee or the club lost something with him. unfortunetly for us gav needed that move for his career.

Despite the hype there is a big gap between
League 2 and the national league-with our fan base and a competent manager we should absolutely be making the playoffs.

Chesterfield will win the league but if we kept Dodds and Mancini fit would have fancied us for top 3, we should still be able to make top 7 with a couple of sensible additions

Hendrie has come on alot as a player and i think thats down to his footballing education - he was a Man Utd youngster dont forget too.

His Time at Bradford will have brought him on regardless of the game time and Hughes will have installed something in him as all good managers do. I think he will fly for us here and hopefully buy him. Need experience like this in the side.

but yeh we still need another left sided CB whos also of league quality - clean sheet has to come soon surely ?

Hendrie:
Hopfully will be brought in to the club in the summer, Askey may even be tempted to give the kid a game along side them.
Good learning for him.
