Looks a bit more appealing now after their 2-1 defeat by the mighty Dorking Wanderers. Has their brief run ran out of gas or reality set in…?

Probably getting tired after virtually no pre season fitness cas players refused to keep training. I fancy us to win this 1-3 Mancini ManiD and Wreh against his former club.

Just as well it's this Saturday as they are back in court next Thursday (24th) on another saga with HMRC over unpaid taxes.

The National League are saying unless this is paid in full and they are not allowing any adjournment they will be suspended and most likely removed from the League.

Hope Sod' Law doesn't come into play and we win but lose the points a week later!

As I understand it from the Outlaws- they would automatically be deducted 10 points, should they fail to clear their football debts and outstanding payments to HMRC.

Me personally can't see them being kicked out the league at this stage. I reckon unless it looks like they'll fold then the league will do everything to keep them in the league. Particularly given the league allowed SARFend to start the season in the first place- wouldn't reflect well on them if they then booted them out after only 4 games.

whatever the authorities do to southend i hope they take their fans into consideration as its not their fault the club has got into the state it is in. many are there for life and not just a short time to cock the club up.

Credit to their long suffering players and staff too. The team spirit there must be phenomenal.

if they gained promotion along side pools it would make this a perfect season for me. supporting an under dog for life gives me a soft spot for fellow strugglers. far different from my feelings for clubs and fans who think they have a god given right for success and think the world is against them when their clubs drop down to a new low level.

100% nailed on to smash them 4-0, gets us points and GD on the board for them to be then kicked out and us loose the lot.

very bad circumstances and a massive shame - can see them being hit with the -10 tbh

How do owners get away with it for so long. They’re messing with the fans lives.

Owners come, Owners go,
We’re here for life.
We’re the fans y’know. sadx

if we work somewhere with a bad owner we went on strike. with a bad owner at a football club we carry on going to a match. the buggers all know this and therefore carry on. the league are not interested or bothered as they can place sanctions on the club and its not their life they are affecting. you can see those running the league consisting of lifetime fans of a top club and not like us and those from many other clubs who have been screwed by some very close to being criminals.

Ever get the feeling the top dogs would just like the Premiership with 20 teams and no relegation …… if you want to watch football, they’ll have the rights to it.

Ring fencing the golden egg has always been their ultimate goal in my opinion. Either that or a wider super league.
They'll get there eventually.
If fans who support lower league clubs and grass roots football stopped their subscription to the major tv networks who showcase this vastly wealthy clique, that might make them think. I used to subscribe to Sky and BT but no longer do so. Don't miss it one little bit.

they tried it with that super league debacle - single handily ruining the modern game

they just want an NFL style franchise where every team is nothing more than a logo making money - they dont give a shite about the lower leagues or the fans - there will always be cash for the big lads regardless of fans - look at Saudi money etc..

I reckon the rise of the Saudi league is a good thing- might actually make our leagues more competitive if all the aging fancy Dan's fuck off for one last pay day.

Potentially frees up space in squads for more home grown players to get a chance. Might also help to close the wealth gap between the top and bottom.

Just like the Chinese Super League, the players are only there for the payday. Half of them will be looking for excuses to break their deals by Christmas - or being loaned to Newcastle.

It’s just a football pantomime over there.

with the parachute payment for relegation giving teams a head start you more or less have this with many of the same teams being relegated gaining promotion back quite quickly. know pools have got one and thankful for it but it still does not seem right.

across the larger european and south american countries i doubt there will be clubs at their 5th tier if they have one that get 4,000 plus fans watching it. in some ways we have a lot to be thankful for.
