Last season we sold just over 2,500.

In the John Askey interview released today it has been confirmed we have sold just less than 2,500.

We can expect over 5,500 tomorrow, the seats look like they may even sell out.

Incredible loyalty, just need Askey and the players to deliver a performance tomorrow and build some momentum.

Whenever Pools get a big crowd and there is a lot of hype they flop.
Lets hope tomorrow is different.

We have been getting good crowds for the last 2 seasons. Only 100 or seats left in the Cyril Knowles stand. Shame gateshead have only sold just over 300 so far.

interesting what he was saying about Gateshead keeping teh ball and how they play--can see frustration creeping in....I actually expect a fairly tough afternoon--Cooke, Crawford and Mancini dont strike me as teh sort of midfiled that can hustle a passing team out of its stride....

NEVER underestimate the opposition no matter who they are, go out and do your job.
Underestimating the opposition leads to a casual approach and over confidence and you end up on your arse.

It bloody well was true about the Crawley game banghead

For that matter, we had 7 home games last season with 5,000+ crowds. Won 0, Drew 3, Lost 4. Goals scored 5, Goals conceded 16. That's pitiful even by the standards of a horrible season. DDS my arse

Size of the crowd has no bearing on performance, We used to play crap years ago when we had 2000+ in the vic.
Last seasons relagation had more to do with the first half of the season.
And some players staying in the sick bay for too long and others just not been good enough.
Along with the first 2 managers.

I do know what you mean, Like.

Club trying to get everybody using E ticketing or charging extra £1. Today Arsenal k,o delayed owing to E ticketing problems. What chance Pools with our Admin. As I said to girl when buying my tickets I still have problems with the A and B buttons in the telephone box at the end of our road.

Got to say the only queue at the Mill House side of the ground when I got there about 10 minutes before the start was a fairly small one at the ticket office. No queues at the turnstiles - they're usually all the way along the side of the skate park and practically onto the road when there's a big crowd.

I noticed the Security people were mostly black in the Mill House Stand area albeit I couldn’t fault them for their courtesy when asking about where our seats were in the Mill House Stand, actually showed us where they were..

They were mostly black all last season. They looked pretty lost to begin with but have got better. I've never paid any mind to which company Pools are using for match day security - anyone else know?

Well thanks for the concern, but as no-one is criticising the stewards, let alone making disparaging remarks, I'm not sure what it's based on? Until very recently I knew most of the stewarding companies in this region in a professional capacity. It's not unusual for one-off events to bus stewards in from a considerable distance (Leeds or Manchester say) if they get a quote that beats local companies on price, even allowing for the extra transport costs. If they can do that for fortnightly events over half a year, somebody at HUFC has got a hell of a deal.

They can’t be any worse than some of the useless drivel we’ve had over the years and by all accounts do a job as it’s supposed to be done.
As for their colour, who gives a flying fuck.
Seriously do some people expect to get a colour catalogue like to pick which shade of security staff they’d like…imagine the phone call……’Hello, can we order some security personnel for Saturday please….can we have five ‘Hitler magnolia’, three ‘ Brilliant White’ and eight’ Snow white’ if you don’t mind…..Jeez

Shocking that, as the ground’s located in Eastv Stirling’s Latin quarter.

agree. actually its something i never noticed going into the ground or coming out of it. something that i have no interest in and never have had. its away matches where they seem to be in your face all the time and you cannot avoid them.

I have no clue what prompted that early morning flight of fantasy Snowy. Who are these 'some people' ?

Is this the same man whose latest contribution to the truly cringeworthy 'Migrants' thread is:

"I don’t understand ships sailing out to pick them up half way across….the border force should have the title ‘FERRIES’ painted on the side, meanwhile if your in Kent or Sussex don’t get into difficulties at sea because the it would appear the lifeboats are too busy with their shuttle bus identity to bother with you.
We know you are obliged to pick them up under Maritime Law, but just once I’d like to see the vessel head straight to Calais to discharge their cargo and see the reaction.

You miss the point completely….anyone entering the country illegally is my concern, I have no problem with the race..I’d be complaining if it was blonde haired Teutonic hordes coming across in dinghies too
You assume wrongly.
If anyone wants to enter the country there’s legal routes with which zi have no problem, but people jumping the queue piss me off no matter who they are because they make it difficult for legal immigrants too.
If you can find a single post where I refer to anyone’s race, creed or anything else let me know.

Albanians are as far as I’m aware not in a war zone…. and last time I looked they are European…so it appears my annoyance is with Europeans.
The some people are those who feel the need to point out the colour of a persons skin when it has no relevance whatsoever to what they are doing. Why do it?

Migrants and boat people seems to be the only news story around at the moment. Its even managed to hijack a Bunker thread on "Season tickets"
Being a bit of a cynic you could think that the government is not trying to stop it as this country desperately needs labour and cheap labour at that. However it cant say that as it will upset a portion of the voting population that is basically racist.
Touch paper lit now and standing back

Might be a good idea if the migrant crisis topic was locked.

If it was locked it will just pop up somewhere else as it seems like to be the only show in town yet it is definitely not.

Lock it or put it at the top permanently along with the Word Association thread so 'Critical Thinking' can indulge his hobby of keeping track of the new arrivals till his dying day. It's a global phenomenon and one that is only going to intensify as the effects of climate change grow worse in the countries most affected. I'm afraid there will never be enough places on safe routes to deter all the people who can't get on them.

Event stewards get £12.77 an hour after training - more than 2 quid above the minimum wage. But it's part of the gig economy - you only get a day's work if the company has a job for you.

Not so much climate change as every man and his dog has access on his phone now to what they perceive as the promised land and they want a slice of the cake.
But things like this have a critical mass politically which is where it gets scary and things go to the ends of the political spectrum and that’s a place where we don’t want to go at any cost.
What the answer is I have no idea.
