The Trainstop Cafe at the station was always good value back in the day, when I lived in the town- particularly after a heavy night out on the Ale.

Used to be a half decent one on the Marina near the lock gates - couldn't tell you what it was called mind, but got to be pre COVID last time I visited both..

Thought Summerhill was a bit pricey when I went there, but again that would have been pre COVID.

The new place up Crimdon was alright - didnt get the food but it looked okay for what it was and my mate had a breaky there few weeks ago and was impressed.

there really isnt a propa Cafe in this town anymore - the Copper Kettle in Park road is nice but overpriced for want of a milky tea bacon sarnie type cafe.

is that place next to Lloyds still open on the corner ?

when i was working in Surrey - there was some fantastic old school cockney greasy spoon places. Nothing like what we have up here.

Cafe Rappor on the Marina is good, proper coffee and half decent snacks, just avoid the car park.
