A few moans n groans over there summit to do with the keeper having a mare n letting in 5 goals after been allowed to return only 3 days before season started... Not happy fans. Also supposedly Wrexham are getting united added to name. Noticed the wording United on the front of shirts maybe its a sponsor driving the new name.

Or they’re sponsored by a bus company that doesn’t exist.

It's embarrassing losing to the MK donkeys heavily at home.

Mind you most of their fans and highly likely the ones who are whining will be Jonny Come Lately's most of whom, Wrexham will be their second club after Liverpool or Manure.

Bit of a reality check that, for the Boyo's!

a club that seems to forget that you need a defence as well as an attack. it always seems that every striker in the game is wanted by them but you here nothing about keepers or top defenders moving there. its hollywood at the end of the day and not a football club like we see one. grinding out 1 nils is not in their DNA.

I know Disney took him on at 80 but wood Harrison Ford accept the managers job….? Great publicity and the script will surely have a happy ending after stunning early setbacks, just like in Wallywood.

They have an ego about them which unfortunately for them got found out within minutes

When i seen them a few times last season - although they pissed the league i still thought Notts to be the better side

They have been chasing after forwards for months, Should realise a good defence wins more points than not.

It took Newcastle years to get themselves a defence. If you keep a clean sheet you only need one goal.

They were playing the likely strongest team in division in fairness, be surprised if mk dons aren’t champions come the end of the season

They must be good, the MK donkeys- Given Dan Kemp is surplus to requirements and on a season long loan at Swindon!

They had a something like top 6 budget in league 1 , relegation was a Martin Scott esque feat of mismanagement

Loyal - thought I'd buried that season- but you've given me flashbacks!

That horrible little scrote should have been sent down for Fraud - such was his ineptitude and the way he fucked over Neale Cooper before the play off final- The club has never recovered from his disastrous reign of terror!

Only small mercy/ crumb of comfort being that Westwood chinned him (allegedly)!

Steady on. Pools came straight back up again the following season under Danny Wilson, and if IOR had brought in an experienced manager like him when Scott was sacked we likely never would have gone down. We only won 1 of our last 11 games with Paul Stephenson reluctantly holding the reins. The rot set in a couple of seasons later when Fatty Turner came back.

Be careful what you wish for, isn’t Turner rumoured to connected with one of the consortiums wanting to buy Pools ?

I agree we did bounce back under Wilson - but should never have gone down in the first place. We never reached the heights of the Third tier playoffs again and that's why I blame him.

Scrotty managed to destroy the team spirit and coach any ability that the players had, out of them. Coupled with the disastrous signings of the quality of Lee Bullock, Chris Llewellyn and the wage pinching Michael Proctor- they were all absymal- whilst taking a good wedge. It was a travesty we were relegated with that squad, given the previous 2 seasons.

Scrotty should have been nowhere near the managers job and only got it because he stitched Neale Cooper up, just before the playoffs. 'The bus then drove itself' to Cardiff and it unravelled from there.

Think JA is very much in the Wilson mould. Very knowledgeable, plenty of contacts, has a game plan and knows how to get the best out of the players at his disposal, whilst playing a decent brand of football.

Agree. Don’t forget Wilson had a rocky start….Coming into a club and altering things overnight is a myth, it’s a bigger task than turning round a supertanker, you just have to be patient and not be dumb enough to expect handbrake turns in the said supertanker .

He did indeed have a rocky start- managed to pick up a copy of his book on Amazon a couple of months ago and Danny acknowledged that the turning point was the Accrington away game when Humpty scored the winner late on, in the lashing rain

Apparently he lost his shit at half time with the players - pointed to the ceiling where the water was pissing through and said to them, 'Is this the level you want to play at?!'

thinking there will be no promotion is not writing the season off. its only a bonus to having a good season and winning games.

I do NOT ‘bang on about ‘patients’, as I am NOT a doctor.

Now regards ‘patience’ …..another thing all together different, I was just asking for a bit of patience for the next ten matches, especially when some clowns started frothing about the Barnet result. It’s a new team that needs to gel, friendlies are ok for a gentle warm up but indicators of nothing, the understanding needs to be forged on the field,.
I have no great expectations this season but I’d love to be surprised.

As regards your spelling young Kevin, it should be.,,’My’ spellings improved ‘ and your apostrophes do tend to dangle…..
On second thoughts, carry on, I like the challenge

The trouble with Hollywood romances is they’re very intense initially, they have to display their deep love for each other to a wide audience then they are feted in the media and before them is a rosey future as they set off hand in hand into a glorious journey together for eternity….
then they get bored and decide to shag someone else…..I’m just an old romantic
