Could be Oldham - beaten 4-0 by a side on the verge of bankruptcy.

Both Wrexham and Notts County conceded 5 goals today, who'd have expected that.

How on earth did they manage that thought they didn't have a penny to scratch their arsed with. Still can produce a team.

They have 16 registered player, with one injury already, no youth registered. Still haven't been paid for last month. 3/4 days after us could face a 10 points deduction. Can't sign anyone else as under embargo.

The wife's family are all SARFend fans. I took much delight when we effectively took their place in the football league, when we won the play offs!

However them as a club are basically fucked- think we've got problems?- more akin to the mess Coxberg left us in before Raj bailed us out of the shite. At least we had our own ground.

Their chairman is that crooked - you couldn't bend wire the same shape as him!

In a nutshell- he's a property developer who has a plot of land on the edge of town where he wants to build a new stadium, with houses etc. As he also owns Roots Hall the current ground, that's also going to be levelled for more housing. He stands to make an absolute fortune - which is why he won't sell up. In the meantime the greedy bastard has let the old ground run down and won't pay the bills including HMRC, players etc until the council agree to the new stadium on his ever changing terms. At one point Sainsbury's gave him a sack load of cash ( to pay one of the previous HMRC winding up orders) as they wanted the existing ground to build a new store on. Though that died a death when they got pissed off with his shadyness and they pulled out. He has then apparently lent money (ala Coxberg) from dubious sources and the whole thing is a tangled web of dodgyness!

You could say he was a modern day Gorgeous George - and look how that turned out?!
That said I haven't heard anything about the possibility of gold taps or heskulators at the new ground!

More like breeze block and sheet metal bike sheds with terraces.

the main ones that will suffer are the fans who have never caused the situation to happen in the first place. surely there should be some system where a club and its fans do not have to suffer and the full weight of the law put against the owner who put them in that spot. take every single thing the bloke owns off him and give him a long time in jail to think about what he did.

Regardless of their luck at the weekend and something no doubt Pools could not replicate in their situation - they are bound for 10 point deduction and reality to set in even more when their squad cant even field a bench. At least one of the relegation spots is nailed on

What SARFend or Pools - wouldn't bet on either anytime soon! (Hasten to add I'm not in know on either)

As long as we beat SARFend in a fortnight - so I have bragging rights over the Outlaws- will worry about takeovers afterwards!
