Has been told he is free to leave as he doesn't figure in JA's plans for the new season. He still has a year left on his contract but Pools are willing to help him find another club - which presumably means a pay off once he has a new deal sorted out.

Typical of Pools that when they finally got their heads round to offering 2 year contracts as standard they were signing the likes of Ndjoli.

Just Paterson, Hastie and Lacey left of last summer's questionable 2 year deals (not counting Cooke and Umerah as questionable!). At least the first two have had a full pre-season. Bit of praise for Paterson last night, JA said he still wanted another right back in but Brody was showing up ok. Hastie, who knows? Might look the part in the NL. Or be heading back up North.

As for Lacey, he's still not recovered enough from his injury to start games. With the new lad Wallace out too with a broken toe it looks like fans will get their wish for another centre back.

I think you can have more faith in JA if 2 year contracts are handed out in future.

Reckon we must be close to another signing, either of a trialist or unknown target, which is why he's being hopefully binned off

give em a 1 year contract and they,ll be off for what they think is better at the end of if they are any good. give em a 2 year one they,ll end up crap and we have to bribe em to go. teams cannot win with this because its all hope and guesswork who will come off and who will not. it will be a near miracle if all our signings are a massive improvement on what has left no matter how bad we thought of em.

In reality it will be a near miracle if any of the new arrivals are worse than those who've left.

I think/hope that given the forwards we have that it means Josh might have indicated he is staying.

I’ve said it before, imo if you sign 5/6 free transfer players and 3 are successful you are doing well.
