So who decides what is abusive? I note on another thread a contributor describing themself as a new member was told to eff off. We all know it was a joke but there are are some folks who dont understand the idea of context. Slightly concerning.

That was me doing something that’s been done virtually since the board began and is firmly tongue in cheek, as can be deduced from the way it was written.
Feel free to have me banned, my mere existence in such a fragile world would be a blessed relief.
If you don’t see the funny side of it, best apply for a humour transplant,….. that’s if they’re available on the NHS.

Exactly…are we going to have a ‘Code of Gentlemanly Conduct’ where there’s a list of prescribed terms to be used on match days.
A world where verbal banter or mild micky taking is replaced by ‘vigorous tut tutting’ or even ‘severe clearing of the throat’ to register our distress at events on the field of play of which we disapprove.
Swearing verboten, angry faces a crime against the club’s moral values and even a ‘gentleman’s dress code’ including top hats and monocles to identify our spiffing attitude to ‘ruffian’s behaviour’ on and off the field of play old boy.

the club should then start by recruiting players that give us no reason to abuse. the opposition should make sure they have no shithouse time wasters and injury actors in their side and the EFL might recruit better match officials that are competant at their job and not just there because they either look the part or tick the right boxes. on top of that the club need to make sure the days of regular mistakes are a thing of the past. even the most drugged and pissed up fan cannot abuse if there are no reasons to do it.
