Sunderland been given 1020 seats in the rink end, so whatever issues must of been sorted finally.

It went up to over a 1000 few season ago I think, so should be a pretty big crowd for the Sunderland game, I presume they will sell them out as well.

That's good. From the outside on Clarence road it's looking pretty good and, if the Rink end has had a bit of refurbishment, the club is making an effort to make the place more presentable, maybe for potential buyers.
Friendly games against our more illustrious neighbours are more lucrative and every penny counts.
Next year, after Newcastle win the champions league, we can ask them to send a team down.
It might not be a bad idea to have a mini tournament for the NE clubs as pre season preparation and share the collective gate money out equally. A mini league to start and then the top two in a final. Potentially a lot of money to be shared out.

at one time there was the west riding senior cup played by leeds, huddersfield, halifax and the two bradford clubs. gates got lower and lower where the games were treated as normal pre season friendly matches with weakened sides put out by the bigger clubs. police costs could take away a lot of the profit we,d make anyway at the outset and thats if fans did turn out.
