Have just announced a price hike of 7 quid to watch some games. Gone down like a lead balloon. Looks like their owner is wanting some money back.

Interesting isn't it? Supporters expect owners to throw their own money into a club but when it comes to the supporters putting a few extra quid in, there's uproar.

These mega rich new owners march in with a wad of cash and a wad of promises, but it all depends on their attention span……when it dawns on them that success is not automatic their interest fades.
They’ll back a winner, but just missing out ain’t so appealing.

I wonder if DC has asked for a bigger budget. He's got some right old competition in front of him next season.
Big expectations at Wrexham, Notts County, Doncaster and Gillingham, with MK Dons in that division as well.
It's not going to be easy.

If Challinor starts off badly I think he will be shown the door.

I wouldn't bet against that.

I think it dates back to when he played for them. Wasn’t he brought in to replace a fans favourite?

No sarcasm on my part Mr Imp, genuinely can’t figure out why he’d have any enemies within the fan base, nowt so funny as folk.

no different to how we would have taken the news. just because the owner is loaded it does not mean fans are. anyway they have gone back on it anyway with a 25 quid max and most being 22. shows what fans can do when most sing from the same hymn sheet.

One of the oldest ploys in the game. They throw out a statement, wait for the reaction and then, depending on the weight of reaction, withdraw. Thus being able to say they are listening to the fans.

the only problem with doing that is fans never forget negatives that come out of clubs or owners. how many will ever forget raj knocking fans even if he did become a mister nice guy and found a few million down the back of the sofa to splash on pools.

Wasn't that Hodcroft. I think putting the name Raj alongside Mr nice guy is stretching it a bit. Mr Billy has just sprayed a mouthful of coffee everywhere. Sorry Mr B couldn't resist that.

Yeah it's a good move when they are doing well but the fans will remember when they go 4 or 5 without a win and realise they are still paying too much for tickets

Hodcroft could be brutal when he deemed it necessary and could give critics a few home truths they didn’t want to hear.

Yep I think after he sacked Hughes’s and the fans were a bit disgruntled he said if you don’t like how we run the club you don’t have to watch us.
We never found out the real reason why Cooper left Pools first time round although it was supposed to about family problems ?

I believe when you appoint a manager yo take a back seat and leave them to get on with the job, but ffs get the right man for the job.
An interfering chairman is like a millionaire in his private jet who keeps going to the cockpit to micro manage the pilot…not recommended.
You don’t buy a dog and bark yourself.

some people can deligate but others cannot even in their own business. its hard to say which one any of us would be in the same position. doubt any of us would have just sat back last season and let stuff happen.
