Saw the lowlights purely by chance last night and when I started losing the will to live I called it a day and switched them off at 3-0 …..like watching eggs boil.

these miss match games should never happen. about time they grade international countries and the san marino,s and malta,s have there own competition and the others qualify by playing opposition closer to themselves. if england had got double figures so what. neither sides would have gained anything from these games apart from boosting there goals scored and the inflated number of caps given to players. bit like pools playing a decent parks side in a pre season game.

We always piss these qualifying groups.
But since 86 we bottle the penaltys and xtra times.
Maybe 1 day we actually win summit.

I cant see it happening. As you say, they always qualify and then always fook up when they get to the serious phase of tournaments. Southgate should have gone after the World Cup so he could focus on his main interest.

you really get apart from a couple of exceptions the same european and south american clubs qualifying for the world cup. the winners will come from one of these continents so why bother with all these qualifying matches. all clubs do not start in july qualifying for the fa cup and come into at various stages. its all about money yet again. just wonder what the viewing figures were last night.

They should start the play offs with the lesser teams in different leagues according to their world ranking not throwing them all in the big pot.

Agree 100%. Also there will be politics: it is all about being "inclusive". Every country who can cobble together a team however shoit, has a shot at the World Cup even though their chances of even winning a qualifier is almost nil.

How crap are we, an OG, 2 penalties and a Full Back against a pub team. Sounds like us last season.

now we have the lasses to endure as well. i,m sure more would have been said on the bbc if they had beaten the maltese girls. funny that because they didn,t show it live themselves how little was mentioned.

agree, but those who think opposite go on about every country getting an equal chance and it helps improve the game in that country. thing is you never learn being beaten week in week out in the same way hammering teams tell you nothing. as for malta itself they need a new jack charlton and get the film the maltese falcon re made as i,m sure the full cast, extras and those behind the scene making it would then qualify for the national team.

Having lived in Malta I attended a game between Valletta F.C. and Floriana F.C at the National Stadium which was classed as a local derby, it was scary with the fans segregated. in fact I left before the final whistle, there was a fence separating the fans and they were trying to rip it down to get to each other. The rivalry. is a notable one in Maltese football as both clubs are recognised for having great history.

Jersey is the best case for car hire, hire cars have a different number plate…someone there told me if you crash into a local it’s easy to decide whose fault it is.

I wen on holiday there 3 times and years later ended up working in the shipyards for nearly 3 years.Malta a place where you love or hate it, Sliema, no beach there I would recommend very up market, not many beaches in Malta, you need to hire a car to see the place. I would recommend a visit to the Silent City, Mdina for one, plenty of history in Valletta the capital, you can get a ferry from Sliema, traffic can be very busy in the main places. You can go to Gozo Maltas sister island on the ferry, it’s a car ferry.
I nearly bought an apartment there in 2009 instead I bought one in Hartlepool, big mistake. When I lived there the cost of living was very cheap then the Euro was introduced and prices have shot up.
Maltese people are known as being very friendly but you have to be wary of them as well, most speak fluent English.
