No sad loss, a club like Pools don’t need a full time goal keeping coach.

or other posts as well in the club and in football in general for that matter. it cannot be that much of a co incidence as well that there was better keepers around before goal keeper coaches were invented.

I'm sure we could send our keepers to the likes of the big 3 for coaching sessions, full time keeper coach at our level is a waste of a wage - how much did Killip improve under full time coaching?

Its the kind of role where 3/4 clubs could share one coach? Was this the case with the last guy or was he full time?

He was also on the playing staff, although he never did.

Maybe Askey was happy,……. but was the goalkeeping coach wasn’t happy to stay ?
Can’t say it’s a loss, as he appeared to make no impact at all.

some clubs even below pools level now have one but if you look close enough you will find they do the job somewhere else like youth teams and acadamies on a weekend. if one club appoints anyone in any role the rest quickly follow for a reason i,ll never know.

Think we'll be saving a wage there- wasn't Askey's no 2 - Goodlad, a goalkeeper?

Maybe Letheran left after a disagreement over artistic differences!?

Goodlad realised how poor our keepers were (even Jakob had a few shaky moments) and decided he was actually a Piss Artist! before binning the lot of them

Goodlad played in goal for over 200 games for Port Vale, therefore we have a ready made goalkeeping coach.
