I can drive the length of this country, but I’ve never seen as many wind turbines as we see in the North East, you always seem to be in sight of one wherever you go….yet down sarf, you are pushed to spot one.
Are councils as dumb as feck in this region sctatchinghead

Plenty down here in the South West. The lack of a cohesive strategy for onshore wind / green energy has led to the inconsistency from region to region.

If Just Stop Oil get their way everyone will have one in their back garden, these people don’t appear to realise that if we stopped producing our own oil and gas we could be held to ransom, Ukraine conflict has proved this.
Alternative reliable sources of energy are not available yet to replace fossil fuels and this green energy thing is forcing energy prices through the roof.

These people are just cranks.
If they really want to save the planet they should protest in China & so called developing countries, the real users of of fossil fuels.
Not a country whose carbon footprint is 2%

Because the police there will not be protecting them from the public and asking if the need any thing to drink….followed by a lengthy sentence of ‘re-education’.
No wonder Putin thought he could get away with invading Ukraine when he looked at the West and saw the state of a society obsessed with nonsense and beliefs that deny even science…. We must look a soft touch.

Think you missed a point there. The super rich types who go for horse racing's biggest prizes aren't bothered by Just Stop Oil's road blocking antics - they travel everywhere by helicopter or private jet. It's not called the sport of kings for nothing.
