According to a report on MKD forum Kempy is on £3600 a week but the highest earner is on £10000 a week. The total annual player salaries are around £4.5 Million. No idea if these figures are real or not but it does sound a crazy amount for a small club.

Reason why they'll struggle financially next season. They need to off load a good few players to get the salary bill down.

£3600 a week? The last two games he played for us when we really needed him to come up with the goods he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Depends on who’s bankrolling it…. But like you say it’s silly money.

the problem is if one team pays that and are successful the rest have to follow paying higher wages than the club can afford just to keep in line. no wonder clubs make a loss year in year out or drop down the leagues. all the money coming into the game is really wasted on average players wages where very few are worth anything like they receive. we do not want to go back to the pre tv money era where many players did earn less than the fans but surely there is a middle ground.

MK will implode - we have seen it time and time again. (unless they are bankrolled by Mr Blank Cheques who doesnt care and is mega buckled)

cant see Kemp staying with them although he proved he could cut it for at least half a season at this level quite well. Not worth that cash though tbh

would not want him in the national league anyway. want players who get a 7 out of 10 every match and not one who gets 9 one week and a 5 at best the next.

He hadnt played much before coming to us and by all accounts he played a lot of games when he was carrying injuries so maybe a bit unfair to criticise his inconsistency? I'd have him back without doubt, showed more passion for playing football and commitment to our club than many of our own players.

I think he would get kicked to absolute shit in the NL - hes weak as pi$$ and like Stevenage did, stick a man on him and hes out the game.

he would be nice to watch in the NL and may get the off chance where he beats his man but guarantee he would be injured more so than not down this level

Just watched a Graeme Souness interview. He was saying average footballers 15 years drove around in second hand BMW cars and now they drive Lambaini & Ferrari. In 1984 he said Liverpool was the best team in Europe Souness & Daglesh highest paid on £125.000 a year ( 12 x average man) but now its 600 x average man. CRAZY GAME.

Can’t believe what I am reading

We have zero chance of getting kemp but if we did he would piss the national league, the idea he would do worse at a lower level makes no sense

Oh and mk dons will go straight back up next week year with likely biggest budget in the division

thats because the extra money in the game has gone on players wages. back in the mid 80,s a players car park in division 4 looked like a rough second hand car lot that would have made arfur daileys look like a roler agants. thats if they owned one. by all accounts steve bull at wolves used to go to training on the local bus and saw a northampton player at their old ground walking home after the match with a couple of pairs of boots in a tesco type plastic bag. the thing is games back then gave you more entertainment and value for money as the whole thing did not seem as serious then and players and officials also found a reason to smile. now everyone looks as if they wished they were somewhere else.

9 goals and 2 assists in 16 games we don't want someone like that in our team. We would win games for starters.

Any self respecting footballer would want to be associated with the NatLge if at all possible.
