We all wanted to survive but it did not work out for whatever reason.. but sometimes in life good becomes bad n bad becomes good. How many of you have changed job / partner / car house etc thinking it was a good move only to find out it was bad. So our bad might just turn out to be good because we could well be challenging for promotion at the top end rather than having another struggling season in league Two. The fans have been amazing particularly over the last 3 seasons and I feel that support will increase even further to 6000 or more with a side top end of national league as opposed to another struggling season in league Two. Maybe we got promoted a little quicker than we should have and maybe this time around the club will better prepared. Its vital we keep Askey and support him with a real budget. This is possibly the best time ever to own Hartlepool United because a good start will bring the best average crowds in over 50 odd years a real opportunity for whoever that maybe including Raj.

I agree, I said after the Newport defeat our season was over. I'm looking forward (have been now for a few months) next season, some good teams to play.

know for a start i,ll be far happier watching a win over dorking with 20 away fans at the vic than a defeat by bradford with the rink end full. i go to watch pools and not the opposition and could not give a flying one how many fans they bring and all the other crap surrounding non league football. you do not have to have bt sports or subscribe to the non league paper to support pools in the future.

There are quite a number of good fixtures to look forward too in the National League. York, Gateshead, Halifax & Oldham just a few and other southern ex league sides as well.

Yep said as much on another thread. If Pools remain a going concern next season and with Askey at the helm, we should be in with a shout of the play offs which will make the end of the season more interesting. Before the flak starts, I am NOT saying we will go up because so much will depend on who stays, goes and arrives. Too many unknowns to make any sensible predictions though being somwehere near the top seven isnt an outlandish shout.

again they are just names of our opponents with n o guarentee they,ll be good fixtures. even an away game with york has lost its attraction due to their new ground and its problems. way the fixtures will be worked out there is a good chance most of the closer games will be mid week fixtures to help with travelling.

with us and Rochdale down there its more like a League 3 than it will ever be. Loosing Yeovil and Scunny is a funny one and if Notts go up too then yeh more previous league clubs not in the mix but it still does make for some decent games and even more so decent local fixtures too. Glass half full and all that - nowt we can do it is what it is now - just support the lads and get behind the team for next season. JA will guide us back to the league given he has enough cash to do it

its again all about names. if they called in league div.3 a lot more would be less bothered about going down.
