The players embrace the noise levels or their arses cave in under the pressure.
Early Pools goal required.
UTP.

The thing with crowds is constant backing and not getting on the players backs, that’s our role on the day. Praise, however unwarranted sometimes, is better than moaning….I can never recall any player who responded positively to criticism.

Easier said that done for a certain type of football supporter - the gobshites whose patience snaps whenever Pools go off the boil and vent their frustration as loudly as possible. Their favourite pastime is trying to educate anyone in earshot about the failings of a particular player. The only cure for that is two halves of of sustained excellence from the lads or a 3-0 lead. Both been in short supply at the Vic this season! Maybe they should support Man City?

problem with an expanded crowd if things are not going our way the come back ones will be quicker to critice than those who turn up more regularly. more we pin em back in their own half the better the crowd will be please no early goal and sitting back to keep the lead. we cannot do that.

Ah, you’re describing that rare breed of ‘fan’, ….( The ‘Gobshiteus Ignoramus’). Common to all grounds across the leagues, expert on the game, its finances, visionary and the general business side of the game. Has a distinct mating call and constant self preener and poser, sometimes known as a ‘Mussolini Shitehawk’, because of it’s egotistical pose and never ever embarrassed by it’s own ignorance.
I suspect most of these people are under the thumb at home and the Vic is the only place they can ‘express’ an opinion…for what it’s worth.

they always seem to have a loud voice or a big gob if you prefer it that everyone seems to hear. usually they are behind you no matter where you are in the ground.

Crawley have a young lad in goal, Bit like Killip drops some right clangers at times then pulls off a wonder save.

Town end need to be in full voice behind him.
