I was genuinely shocked at the size of the crowd at Salford. 2,100 minus 500 Poolies equals 1,600 home ‘fans’ for a team hoping to make the play offs. sctatchinghead
A true ‘hobby’ club.

mentioned that before on another topic. have any of these hobby clubs actually taken off. fleetwood, one that seems to get a free ride in this was only in its present re incarnation in 1997 with a redeveloped gtound only holding just above 5,000 fans. others with far more fans have fallen into non league obscurity after a bad season on the pitch caused by bad ownership and the decisions made. at least the teams voted into the league deserved to be there and very few voted out could say they were unlucky and were never given a chance. again you cannot beat the system but can use it.

‘Quiet’? ….. I‘ve heard more noise in a mortuary.
Instead of these egotists buying up obscure clubs to model in their own deluded image, why not invest in established clubs instead of ‘Piddling on the Wold FC’ type clubs on ego trips which have a life as long as the owners interest.

It will be interesting to see what happens to FGR in the next couple of seasons.

It's even resulted in the lovely Gary Neville having a dig at Pools on twit all because Jeff Stelling criticised the home support last night.

you could understand their lack of interest and staying away if their season had gone to pot like doncaster going from play off challengers to lower mid table in a few weeks. giving their position there would be more than jeff stelling having a pop at their crowd who had no interest in either club. as for these money men putting money into clubs you need google maps to find i doubt they made their pile on providing something no one wants.
