Yeah, and footballers should be banned from heading balls for their own good.

I am expecting some form of protests, the animal rights people and stop oil protesters, might be a bit difficult to glue themselves to the turf or the jumps though.

I am confident the police will do everything they can to facilitate their "protest".

And you have a choice of not watching. If nobody watched, the 40 horses running today simply wouldn't exist.

Unlike factory farmed pigs and chickens, thoroughbred race horses are fantastically well looked after - they have to be in peak condition to do well. Do you imagine they don't 'enjoy' jumping and racing? Does a dog enjoy chasing a cat?

They invariably get away and cats have always struck me as smart arses, so probably yes. Do mice enjoy being pounced on by cats? yawn2

well i will certainly not be watching, betting or buying a sweep stake ticket for it. not letting old habits die now. if prices keep rising and rising factory farmed animals will be worth as much as race horses unless the latter get cheaper to eat.

I will be watching and cheering on Mr Incredible on which i have a substantial wager.
No doubt i will be hoarse by the time the race ends.

Let hope all horses get home safely and the glue factory doors remain closed.
