For nearly 30 years my parents lived in Welton, very adjacent to Scampton.

It was always pleasant sitting in their garden on a summers day when the Red Arrows were practising overhead.

It was not that long ago that one crashed into a house not too far away from their house.

Alas the Red Arrows have moved to Waddington, just the other side of Lincoln.

Yes I have come across them whilst in that area, brilliant to watch.

When I was a nipper one of my uncles was stationed at RAF Scampton and we stayed on the base for a few nights while on holiday, I never got a wink of sleep as Lightning jets were taking off at all hours of the night and were roaring their engines on the tarmac for what seemed like an eternity before taking off....I was glad to get home.
I did love the Lancaster bomber by the entrance gate though, very impressive.

I’d separate families from single men completely.

We are talking big numbers for the single men, some security company is going to make millions in the camps and on the ferries supplying people and they won’t be on the minimum wage either.

There are 51000 people in hotels costing us £6 million per day. That works out at £118 per person, per day.

the homeless are invisible to many passers by as well as politicians who see no future in them or their cause. take a look at the majority of the homeless and you,ll see why, no boxes to tick.

I am surprised no one has bought the Grand Hotel to capitalise on the refugee accommodation.
