Shouldn't have stood. The ball didn't touch another player from the corner kick. Leonard kicks the ball twice and the ref should have given us a free kick.

Procedure

The ball must be placed in the corner area nearest to the point where the ball passed over the goal line
The ball must be stationary and is kicked by a player of the attacking team
The ball is in play when it is kicked and clearly moves; it does not need to leave the corner area
The corner flagpost must not be moved
Opponents must remain at least 9.15 m (10 yds) from the corner arc until the ball is in play

2. Offences and sanctions

If, after the ball is in play, the kicker touches the ball again before it has touched another player, an indirect free kick is awarded; if the kicker commits a handball offence:
a direct free kick is awarded
a penalty kick is awarded if the offence occurred inside the kicker’s penalty area, unless the kicker was the goalkeeper, in which case an indirect free kick is awarded
If a player, while correctly taking a corner kick, deliberately kicks the ball at an opponent in order to play the ball again but not in a careless or reckless manner or using excessive force, the referee allows play to continue.

For any other offence the kick is retaken.

Unless I've read it wrong :angry-tappingfoot:

One of their players “touched” the ball then the lad who played the cross in picked it up and ran in / made the cross.
TBH I’ve not seen it happen before but in fairness it was quite a good move

It's clear after I've watched it again. banghead

When you are down these odd things go against you. Like the Stevenage forward hiding in the goal frame and sneaking out to score past Killip. Things just seem to work against you when you are desperate for survival. We are not losing but we just seem to haver forgotten how to win.

It's clever, but the ball wasn't stationary if the above is correct

It should have been blown up for a moving ball, when the first bloke goes to take it the ball is never stationary until he walks away from it

Northampton fans are saying the same thing, was a foul corner and got away with it. Then again near the top things for you.

That’s footy though and if we’d got away with it we’d have been happy to take it.

I think we got away with the elbow which should have been a red card and Pools goal which could disallowed for offside on another day, be grateful for small mercies.

Watched that corner several times and the ball was still moving so should not have stood.

I totally agree with you, but that ship’s sailed. It’s Bradford, the next battleground that matters now.

Man Utd tried similar a few years ago. They did actually move the ball but it was disallowed.
