Walsall thats what sometimes happens when your winning and wasting time. Especially good when winning 3-1 with 5 minutes left and wasting time like your life depends on it

Today Walsall were big,strong,fast.
Pools weak,slow.
How ever if you haven't seen Walsall's goals today.
1st Hamilton just block the shot.
2nd Kiernan got caught wrong side he should have just pulled him back and took the yellow.
3rd Breakaway Naing does well keeps up then falls over.

Our goals not often you get 2 pens but hey ho.
Overall very poor today with the exemption of kemp but another point on the board.

Worth pointing out that Askey had 48 hours at best to transform that depressing rubbish on Tuesday to a team that could at least show a bit of fight. I wasnt expecting anything today so was pleasantly surprised. Askey is not daft and knows today's performance wasn't good enough recognizes there is a lot of work to do but think there is slightly more reason to be positive now than on Tuesday evening.

Would agree with your assessment poolie. Pools were rubbish and the problem mainly is just not enough quality apart from Kemp who is a diamond. The new boss knows he has got a lot to do because if the quality isn’t there it’s difficult to make poor players good in such a short space of time. Further, all goals conceded where preventable . I am sick of talking about lack of awareness in the box. Only positive is we kept going and other results helped us again. If it was me I would have those players on the training pitch for a minimum of 10 hours learning the basics.

poor players will never be good players but all players can run for the team and put in more effort than the opposition. being crowded out with no where to go is the same if good or bad players crowd you out.

I can only remember seeing the odd good goal by the opposition, most of them are just handed on a plate by our useless players.
