Just been looking at fixtures and here is what I found with games against top 8 and bottom 8.
Top8 H A Bottom8 H A

ROCH. 7 4 3 4 1 3
GILLS. 6 2 4 5 3 2
POOLS 6 4 2 4 2 2
HARR 7 2 5 5 3 2
CRAW 6 1 5 4 4 1
NEW 6 4 2 6 3 3
CREWE 6 3 3 6 2 4
COL 7 3 4 3 2 1

Not good at doing this stuff but basically pools have a total of 6 home 4 away against top 8 / bottom 8 if that makes sense.

Doesn’t matter who we play now. It’s a case of preparing and believing we can beat anyone!Going in to each game away or at home working like F@@k to get a result wether we are boring or not

Agreed. Got to grind out those results from now onwards.

Whether it be one point or three, we need them all.

hope pools having played more games than most may be a help. we might have had a week off between games playing opponents who have been on a run of tuesday/satueday for a couple of weeks before we play em.

The only game we should be focussed on is beating Sutton and what happens elsewhere we can not control but just hope it goes in our favour.
The team I'm looking at is Newport they have 2 games in hand how ever they are in really poor form even worse than us so if we beat them home/away we would be 2 points ahead of them, then all we have to do is match their points tally for the remainder of the season so this is just 1 permutation out of many.
What i took out of the Doncaster game was we have more pace and skill in the team so at least we now stand a chance no matter who we play.

true, but the next 3 games will show if it was a flash in the pan or not. feel a bit happier than i did but still not fully convinced. bit like betty,s boys will also be feeling. one game either way does not make a season.

A quick look shows the importance of scoring 1 (more) goal in all matches.

Lost 6 games where another goal would have turned that match into a draw = +6 points

Drew 7 games where another goal would have turned that match into a win = +14 points

These extra points of 20 added to our present tally of 25 would give us a 6th place on 45 points.

I know all the ifs - If your Aunt had bollocks she would be your Uncle - but this does show the importance of scoring goals.

Please KC go with the same starting XI and the same tactics for the next 3/4 matches.

A bit more ambition in the Transfer Windows since Promotion and we wudent be in this mess.
Its criminal behaviour to keep bullshiting our fanbase.
We are where we are and accept it isent a solution.
Just a sticking plaster of hope.

Unless you can invent a time machine and win the lottery at the same time, …we are where we are…… and actually all we do have is hope.

there is every chance we could get relegated on GD too - that would be a cruel cruel way to seal our fait

see what happens saturday but its not the fixture i was expecting us to get 3 points from regardless - shame our revival has some of the best teams in the league ahead of us shortly to play !

exciting an nerve racking times ahead

Pools and ‘nerve racking times’ are constant companions.

It is pretty apparent to me that one of the biggest problems and there has and is many, that the defence under Hartley was completely disorganised. Poor communication from the keeper and lack of self confidence and distribution. This combined with bad positional sense in defence with no or little man marking and communication. You need someone at the back who is continually talking and organising and players who are disciplined and have focus and know their roles. We can’t expect players who can always play the ball out at league 2 level but knowing when to intervene and clear even when not pretty is a necessity . Watch how Newcastle Utd defence are playing. I know our players are not as gifted but that’s the sort of thing we should be modelling ourselves on as well as reducing stupid errors which there is no excuse for. Of course with confidence some of these things can be ironed out. Unfortunately we don’t have lots of time and the new team has got to learn
Quick.

think its draws that kill teams more than defeats. looking at crewe who are slupping down the league but have only lost the same number of games than stockport who are in the final play off positions. blackburn in the champiomship play offs have lost the same number of games than second bottom blackpool. 17 games to go and if we win one less game than we lose we,ll be more than safe.

Newport are shite and playing them twice is a big plus
Only worry is Bogle who seems to be one of those players that can turn it on when motivated so hopefully he doesn’t decide to put a shift in

I’ve tried ……. but cannot for the life of me visualise a motivated Bogle….he meandered around the pitch lice a bored iceberg.

Pools need to stop giving the ball away so cheaply too and i think that was part of the defence - feaths problem... feaths reads the game but other round him seemingly unable - ball goes back to defence ... they too unable and make a mistake or hoof it up field out of possesion or for a throw... this new lot seem to have sorted that - hopefully Saturday we see more football and less mistakes - having Sterry in there too absolutely makes our back line a 100% better - aswell as Ferguson being on his game and playing better

He is a very good player at this level when he puts his mind to it

When he puts his mind to it possibly he is …..but to be a good player it requires 100% of putting your mind to it, not 10%.

Bogle is the definition of a flash in the pan player. He's had 16 clubs (including loans) in 10 years but never seems to settle anywhere. For Newport he scored 5 league goals by the end of August but has only added 2 since - and the last was in October.

He was the same for Pools. After we signed him at the end of the January window last year he scored 4 in his first month - then only 1 more to the end of the season. With Omar Bogle, disappointment is in direct proportion to the expectations he creates when he first joins a club. Letting him go in pre-season is about the only good decision Paul Harley made for us.

how frustrated as a manager and player you must be when he rocks up and bangs in 5 goals in the first month then does feck all after...

if a team is in dire straights in Jan just sign Bogle to get you some goals for a month... then watch him bugger off into the oblivion

does he just get bored at one club like those who change jobs regularly doing sideways moves.
