Possibly a good signing. Attacking midfielder and can play upfront assisting Umerah . We need someone with intent and pace . If he plays on the front foot like it says on the tin, could be a useful addition

A few stockport fans have laughed at curles comments about jennings having pace. We just Need him to have an impact for the next 3 months.

a player wjo only made the odd sub appearance without making any impact. then loaned out to altrincham where he quickly became a bench warmer. was a good player but like everyone they eventually have had their day. doubt darlo fans would be happy with his signing.

I hope for everyone that has their doubts including those divvys over at Shiteport - Jennings does an Armstrong and notches on his debut... even better if he got 2

Connor is still a hero at Tranmere for all the sterling service he gave there and is particularly remembered for scoring the winning goal in the 119th minute of the promotion playoff final against Newport. He has had some major health problems which he courageously fought and recovered from and is extremely popular wherever he has played because he is such a nice bloke as well as a good player.

We’ve had our say, now it’s our life (as a league club) in their hands/feet. Little point in abusing players, we need to get behind them and when the dust settles at the end of the season let’s see if we survive, …..but….. start planning for next season now regardless.

Conner is a lad who will run through brick walls if you ask him to, I personally have no problem with this signing.
After what he has has to endure (Health wise) I wish him the very best...

I honestly hope he becomes a fan fave like Armstrong and Oates etc.... if he can even replicate what the likes of Gordon Watson or Miller did back in their time with us... it would be great and an icing on the cake for the lad.

lets just get behind the team and see where we are in a few weeks time

I noticed that of the 11 games Jennings featured in for Altrincham ( 9 league, 2 FA trophy ) over November/December they only lost one, his first game v Barnet, they won 6 and drew 4 of the others, here's hoping we could put a run like that together.....if only  , one of those games was a penalty shoot out win over Wrexham in the FA trophy.

the Stockshite lot did say he brings a winning mentality and offers alot in the dressing room

he is more than capable of competing in this league - and i think he will thrive at Pools

hope you are right and he gets a new lease of life, but having seen him play a few times i seriously doubt it. its a bloody shame as he is nice lad and not has the best of luck with his health the last few years recovering from cancer. pity we did nor sign him 5 years ago when he was good.

Wishing Connor all the best at your place. A great lad who had to endure a horrible illness. Glad he recovered & it was a magic moment when he scored his first goal upon his return when we were in the NL. Being totally honest though I'm glad we've got him off our books as he offered us very little this season. Don't want to be too harsh on the lad as he always gave his all but he just didn't fit with our style this season (although at the moment we're not playing with any style whatsoever!) Hopefully with a different set up you can get something out of him & he can contribute to keeping you up. I'll put a fiver on him scoring the winner for you on the last day of the season at our place as ex-players always come back to haunt us!

thankyou for that. i have my fingers really crossed for the lad but i feel he may need more than that. you want all players to do well but him especially. he deserves a bit of luck and something to click in what could be his last season as a football league player and going out on a high will be a good memory for him as well as us.

Certainly wouldn't begrudge the lad that at all accrington, & despite the acrimony from pools fans towards us I want Hartlepool to stay up. Much rather a Crawley or Harrogate dropped, or even though it would mean us losing a decent local game I'd be quite happy to see Dale go down as they revelled in our descent into non-league, be nice for them to experience the same pain!

Thanks for that might have a fiver me self.
Remember when Connor was ill, A request was put out for supporters to send get well EMails which i duly did.
Went something like.
"Keep your chin up Connor hope all goes well, Think your a better footballer than your Kid, And much better looking"
Or words to that effect.

Don,t think anyone would begrudge him scoreing the winner at your place.

think if you took a poll amongst fans of long term league clubs in our league the names of crawley and harrogate would be top of their lists. know what you mean about rochdale as since they became a league club they have had more great escapes from being voted out and if automatic relagation had been in force they,d have gone before new brighton or nelson for that matter. hate their back biting two faced fans as well.
